I have tried and given up learning how to do acrylics for... Idek, the past 5 years? Finally decided to give it one last shot and glad I did. I realize part of my problem was the acrylic hardening "too fast" for my slow process lol. As others mentioned, it does take a bit to dry. To me, that makes this perfect for beginners because you actually have time to shift/from the nail when you're not entirely confident in what you're doing. It doesn't take LONG to dry, maybe a total of a minute after I've finished forming the nail. Monomer is the lowest smelling one I've ever used. It does have the typical nail salon smell but not nearly as strong. Also really love the brush. I'm used to using "pointier" ones and I think the rounded end actually makes forming easier once you get closer to the cuticle. But that's just my opinion. Overall greatest acrylic I've tried and at half the cost I've ever spent on it.

This is my first rodeo doing my own gel nails. Not going to pay $65 dollars as salon any more! I watched my nail tech do it so many times felt I could come close myself so on to Amazon to get my needs. +Of all the colors on Amazon this is the one I wanted! Beetles Reflective Gel Nail Polish Pink Winter Nails, 1Pcs 15ML Pink Glitter (b353) All Season Color Soak Off Gel Polish. Reviews of the Beetle brand great and It did not disappoint. Thick enough only had to use one coat (after doing base also Beetles brand got the base and top coat combo). The UV dryer I bought indicated some gels take longer than others. I did do longer curing as it did not feel right. Because it still had a little sticky feel did the tip of taking and wiping with alcohol did the trick. They look great to me for my first gel rodeo. but time will tell how it is going to hold up. Right now very very pleased. *note my process was done on top of doing my acrylic nails and it worked great for me, just have to read all the instructions I got the Aucarkee Acrylic Nail Kit with Primer sold here on Amazon and will do review on all. The total investment was a little costly...NOT much more than paying for one set/refill of nails AND ALL THE SAVINGS TO COME. This kid did come with everything I needed for my first time trying acrylic nails. I wish the acrylic brush was a little bit smaller but I was still able to make it work. They could add more nail forms but that's something you can get more of for a relatively cheap price. I like the cute little dampen dish as it's very small. Of course the monomer smells like monomer and my husband did complain about that lol. He said I stunk up the whole house and next time I'm going to open my window. The acrylic brush has a wooden handle and somehow I ended up getting monomer on it. So The wooden part of the acrylic brush did lose parts of its color and became sticky but that's my fault. Call it user error lol. It does say that the powder is clear but to me it looks cloudy. I don't mind that at all. I just didn't want to get white because I paint over it anyway. Everything in this kit does what it's supposed to do and it's a good practice kit

Use this well priced product for making a line of product at the back of my large toenails to reshape the pincer toenails I've developed in old age. Highly recommend! Easy to use and works for what I'm using it for.
