We are very pleased with how this works. Nothing is worse then pulling up a wet rope that has been hanging in the water. Using this helps when I put the anchor in the water it has a stopper on it like a brake. Also when I pull up the rope from the water it makes so I don’t have all kinds of wet rope slapping all around on me. It pulls in nice and easy and neat. I am so glad I bought this for our boat. Buy one you won’t regret it. It is nice and sturdy. The only thing I would suggest is make the wheel a little taller and the groove deeper so the rope doesn’t slip over it when it is diagonal. ... show more

I installed on my 14’ Alumacraft. I put it in line with the anchor keeper that was on the boat. The pulley doesn’t turn but I think the nylon rope will slide just fine.

I use this in my 14 foot aluminum boat. I used to have to drop anchor and tie off. If your like me who likes to fish alone and every second you don't have a line in the water counts. With this you simply pull back drop the anchor and fish. Would recommend a small bucket to wind the excess rope into though. ... show more
