  • Worth it
Size: 11 Feet Color: Light Blue
This is what you want if you are going for a higher quality iSUP. Definitely worth it over a $100-$300 board. Inflation with the included dual action pump is simple. It's quick, but takes more time and effort than an electric pump which may be a worthwhile investment. The material and valve is high quality so I just leave it inflated and transport it in the back of a truck. When inflated to the recommended pressure it is rigid enough that you will notice very little flex when on the water even when loaded down with gear, coolers, etc. The integrated D rings make it easy to secure a cooler or a crate. I've found that mounting accessories like a bluetooth speaker to my cooler solves the problem the iSUPs have where you can't rigidly mount accessories like on a hardboard or kayak. The biggest difference you are going to see between this and a $100-$300 board is the finish/structure/quality of materials. Lower quality boards will flex, delaminate, tear, and even get sticky in reaction to water or sunlight. This board has none of those issues. I feel like this thing can go on whitewater rapids up against sharp rocks and still get me where I need to go. It is light enough that I can carry it under one arm with my paddle and life jacket strapped to the board while carrying my cooler and drybag with the other hand, no second trip to the dock needed. The color and design are nice in that it's clean and unique without being gaudy. The large deck pad I think is a marine eva foam material, so it stays cool and grippy, but your legs won't stick to it if you are sitting down on the board. Check and see if the other boards you are looking at have similar warranties as the warranty included with this was a must have when I decided on it. Atoll is a smaller US based company with responsive customer service even if the product is purchased on Amazon. Only complaints are that the fin's thumbscrew will pick up weeds if paddling in thick vegetation, and you really have to get all the air out to fit it back in the bag if you want the rest of the accessories to fit. Also worth mentioning is the paddle. It's rigid, light weight, and ergonomic. I can use it all day with no blisters. Breaks down into sections for transport. The quick adjustment works well and I've had no issues with the clasp slipping as you might see in lower quality paddles. ... show more

  • Great Product
Size: 11 Feet Color: Army Green
First time owning a paddle board. Tried one a couple times here in Wyoming and decided to pull the trigger. Several of my friends are power boat people but this suits me better. Its like trail running or cycling in that its just you, your little non-motorized vehicle and the elements. Super easy to store and travel with. There was enough room and stability for me, my daughter and my 2 dogs. I could even lay on my back and take a nap. I went with green. Very subtle especially against lake water. Really cool. A friend of mine who is one those guys that researches everything and is tight with his money convinced me of this one over the ROC which i was ready to buy (he owns 2 of each, he and his wife have claimed the Atolls and let their teenagers have the ROCs). I was surprised given the price difference and what i was thinking was a commodity item. His reasons for liking the Atolls more: better tracking (stays straighter), rings in the back to put more webbing, fiberglass paddle and better pump. Here are my thoughts after taking this board to the lake this weekend where three SUP boards were represented: the extra money was worth it for the Atoll primarily for the reasons my friend mentioned. I tried all the boards and mine was the best at staying strait, the fastest and had the best buoyancy (there was one board that a friend of my was using which his feet would almost be wet while standing on it due to buoyancy and/or banana-ing.) Mine was super ridig which inspired me to let the whole family on it. The pump and gauge work flawlessly. There are two modes: single and double pump. Use double pump to get mostly inflated then single to boost the psi. Works great. The other folks were complaining about there paddles. Wouldn't stay at right length, got sand and wouldn't slide. I was also shocked that theirs didn't float. I should also mention that overall quality was great. I actually use stuff so i am always looking for that sketchy looking seam or under designed breaking point. I felt really confident with the whole package (pump, foot strap, webbing, paddle, bag). Setup and packing were easy. There are smart things like a waterproof canister for tools/ patches and a compression strap which isn't even really needed given the bag easily fits everything. I left the lake not looking at SUP's as a commodity items but instead more like my trail shoes or my mountain bike. I would never run in keds or mountain bike on a huffy, why would I waste my money on a cheap SUP. Get it and enjoy. ... show more
