  • Really good quality
Style: APRS6 IR MIL
Really good quality, and clear lenses

  • Great Value!
Style: APRS6 IR MIL
Much better than the Gen1 version. The turrets are loud and tactile, not mushy. Elevation is stiff and windage is even stiffer so they will not turn accidentally and don't need to lock or be capped. The illuminated reticle is daytime bright and the whole reticle illuminates now. This scope replaced my old Vortex Razor Gen2 which was too bulky and heavy. The glass is clearer and brighter at dusk/dawn, and color rendition seems better. The Cronus does have a little bit more CA than the Vortex but its barely visible near the center, its more out toward the edges of the view. The Cronus really outshines the Razor at longer distances, beyond 400 yards it gives me a clearer view of most targets. I am a big fan of both Athlon and Vortex, I love their transferable lifetime warranty and great CS. But in this particular case, the Athlon Cronus is the better scope for me. ... show more

  • Disappointed to Say the Least
Style: APRS6 IR MIL
Purchased on April 1, 2025 and Upon first looking thru it I found it to very very poor clarity. Put it on my rifle to give it a 2nd chance and 3rd chance. It’s like looking thru a scope filled with diluted milk. Should have listened to my inner self and went with other manufacturers

  • Mixed feelings
Style: APLR5 IR MOA
Leaving a review with mixed feelings. The scope seems great so far...yet to be seen if it will hold up to pounding from the .300 PRC. But Amazon....I buy a $10 item and it comes in 3 boxes with tons of bubble wrap. I buy a $1600 scope and it comes in bigger box with nothing and the box is smashed, to the point that the factory packaging was getting torn around scope. So far the scope seems fine, but who knows. To add to the review, Athlon what's the deal, I buy your Argos scope (a 1/3 of the cost) and get lens caps your flagship scope and no caps? But if this Chronus is better than the Argos I am sure I will be happy with my purchase. ... show more

  • Edited-Disappointed with the optics so fa
Style: APRS6 IR MIL
I need to get some more time behind the scope but I'm a little disappointed in the optics for the price. Seems only marginally better than my SWFA SS 3-15 and not as bright or clear as the Viper PST gen2. This is supposed to compete with the Razor HD so I was shocked. I know it's subjective so I'll try and get a few more people to look through the glass but right now I almost wish I had bought the Viper PST for $750 and used the rest for 338 Lapua ammo. I did buy it mostly for the turrent tracking though which seems right on so far. Edit- After a year I'm still not wow'd by this glass. It is good though. It is clear and bright right up to 29x. I have used many scopes the darken or distort at max power but are fine just a touch lower. Not such problem with this optic. But there should not be for the price. Overall I'm pretty happy with it. ... show more

  • Maybe the best scope at this price range.
Style: APRS6 IR MIL
What can I say? Great class with good contrast, very clicky turrets and minimal CA. I have a Kahles K624i and this beats it in contrast and eye relief. Eye box is a little finnicky at high power but that's expected. Tracks great and illumination is daytime bright if that matters to you.

  • Japanese glass. Phenomenal features.
Style: APRS1 IR MIL
I have this scope, and it is absolutely badass. In low light the deer pop. Is Japanese glass, LOW manufacturing.

  • Athlon Cronus
Style: APLR5 IR MOA
I am assuming I will like the scope but the boxing of it is ridiculous for what you pay. No foam or anything for protection like most scopes have. The Ares even had better protection than this. Ideally it didn’t take an unnecessary beating due to the lack of protection. Will update as I am able to test it out. ... show more
