My favorite low cost scope. Reticle is very clear, parallax/side focus works well and you'll end up with a very clear target image. Adjusters click crisply and are easy to remove them so as to move the zero marking to the rifle's zero. The illum levels work well, as does the knob. For the price this thing is great. I took a vortex pst gen 2 off my rifle knowing how well it groups with a good scope and slapped this one on to compare. Shoots the same groups. Only downside is the field of view is significantly smaller than a better quality scope. Glass is clear. The reticle is good. I don’t like the center crosshair it’s way too large and if you’re trying to be precise like I am it might cover the whole target. At 1k yards the center cross covers a clay pigeon or soda can at 1k yards. I didn’t understand how to set up the turret at the range as I sighted one the rifle set the zero stop and went to dial for 1k and it only went to 8moa and stopped. I actually had to take off the turret and spin the black piece to the other side and reinstall the turret for me to be able to dial correctly. I didn’t read the manual so DONT take it out on the scope for my negligence lol. My howa 1500 6mm creedmoor with 20moa base I can dial up to 60moa of elevation and hold over the rest. Overall it’s a great budget scope for the price just don’t compare it to something more expensive. The zero stop is an awesome feature for the price it’s a true zero stop not the hard to set shims like old vortex scopes. The turret clicks are super tactical and crisp not soft and mushy like I thought they would be. I have a vortex diamondback tactical and although In terms of optical clarity I might lean towards the vortex scope but everything else this scope is twice as good as the vortex. I built a custom LR 308, but ran out of money to get a high quality (high price) scope for it. Did some research and decided to try this one out. Very pleased with this scope. Tracks well, glass is clear. Gets a little foggy at max magnification, but no where near unacceptable. Cross hairs are very fine at lowest magnification, but that's the nature of first focal plain. I recently received this scope and mounted it on my rifle. Haven't had a chance to shoot yet but I've taken in the view to test the scope's features. I got the MIL reticle and I do like it. Nice, thin and clearly visible etched reticle, not too thick so it doesn't obscure the target at long range with the mag dialed up. The illumination is also quite nice, making use at dawn or dusk much easier. The magnification dial is VERY stiff, particularly over 14x. I'm hoping it will loosen up with time and use. The elevation and windage knobs are solid with audible and tactile solid clicks when you turn them. The zero stop on elevation is simple to use and set. I am a bit displeased that the elevation knob will not actually dial down to the zero line on the elevation post (there's the elevation knob/turret with the numbers on it and the post with lines on it from zero on up). I use a 20 MOA optic mount and that means I really need to dial the reticle way down so I can use virtually all the elevation adjustment to get out as far as possible. The turret stops shy of the zero mark on the post, but this will make it easier to set the zero stop since it is likely to match the bottom of turret movement for a 100 yd zero (we'll see). Overall I'm quite happy with it and expect it to handle me getting out up to 1200 yds easy. Turns out that at 1100-1200 yds about 16x is plenty of mag to see a target. In the future I may upgrade yet again to a more expensive make of scope (like an Arken) but go with a lower mag range like 4 or 5 to 16 (even 14 would probably suffice to my eyes). ... show more

Glass is clear, clicks are precise, it is everything that Athlon claims and probably a bit more. It is clearer than some of my glass that cost 4x as much. Put it on a Ruger American IM brush and shot a PRS match with it, worked great.
