  • No negatives that I can see or think of.
Style: APLR2 FFP IR MOA
This scope is awesome. Very clear, great view, turrets work and function great very precise and accurate, awesome reticle configuration. I absolutely love this scope. I'm not fan of FFP but it is convenient especially with the type of reticle and am becoming more of a fan. Took a Bushnell Elite Tactical ELR 4.5-30x50 30mm tube off of one of my rifles to upgrade to a bigger scope and saw the reviews on YouTube for this scope figured id give it a try since amazon has a great return policy. After zeroing the scope, the doped drops lined up perfectly spot on, not even a 1/4moa difference in drop at all my verified range targets out to 1014yds that were derived from the Bushnell Tactical which speaks to both scopes that their turret calculation are spot on precise and accurate. As for the scope being an upgrade compared to the Bushnell elite... I'd say its at least on par with the Bushell. The glass may be a hair better or it could be just because its a 34mm tube with 56mm objective so the increased light transmission might be making it seem like better glass. The upgrades would be more in terms of 34mm tube for more range elevation and the 56mm objective for the larger view picture and low light transmission. I had a buddy get on this gun and try a few shots, which he successfully completed at 750yds, and he felt that the gun became harder to shoot because the scope clarity was sooo good. I asked what he meant by that and he said because you can see every little breath and every little movement and heart thump in the reticle, he was coming off of a cheaper or should I say trash scope. He also made the comment that it was nice that you pick up and extra half hour of long range shooting light off of that scope, LOL. Ill take the clarity and performance of this scope. Scope is probably a 5 star scope at least in terms of bang for you're buck I don't know that you can beat it for price. ... show more

  • EXCEPTIONALLY CLEAR
Style: APRS6 IR MIL
This is my second of this model. Same size and more cost for my VX5-HD & this has a much clearer picture with more options & magnification. This scope will make you think before spending comparable amounts on the other name brands. Hands down more scope for the money!!!

  • Great scope
Style: APRS1 FFP IR MIL
For the price it’s hard to beat. I used it on custom Kidd 10/22 and Tikka 6.5 cm. I compared glass with my friend’s Kahles 5-25 and honestly I didn’t see any different at least during bright day. Of course you couldn’t compare turrets with Kahles but its not bad at all. Trucking was perfect and I was able to hit the target at 1650 yards! ... show more

  • Great scope
Style: APRS6 IR MIL
I've had several top end scopes in my career including night force and Vortex. This is a top end scope. Clear glass tracks perfectly more vertical and horizontal adjustment than any scope I've ever had or used, way more than comparable Vortex and nightmare, nice loud clicks. I highly recommend this scope especially at this price point. Shipping from Euro optics was exceptional I had this scope in less than 20 hours and it came clear across the country east to west. I did not ask for nor pay for nor expected to have next day air delivery. ... show more

  • Ares 4.5-30x56, great quality optics, but where are the scope caps
Style: APLR2 FFP IR MOA BROWN
The Ares 4.5-30x56, a scope with the clarity, construction, and quality of a $2,000-3,000 scope. FFP reticle, illumination that is visible on slightly overcast days. The brown colored scope compliments the FDE equipment on my 6.5 Grendel. I first purchased an Athlon Argos model, however the illumination of the reticle was only visible at late dusk or at night. I don’t shoot 800 yds at those times. The Ares fit my needs. Zeroed the scope in 7 shots. Then went to the 100 yd Range, and produce a 5 shot group with a .72” spread. Scope tracks flawlessly, and has a Zero Stop. I highly recommend this scope for a distance gunner. My only complaint is the $399 Argos has flip up covers included, the $1190 Ares does not have any lens protection from the factory. Athlon, for $700 more you can’t find room to include $20 flip up caps!?! Even having to spend $18 for caps, I am Still a happy customer! ... show more

  • Bought a new 4.5-30x56 Ares ETR scope but received a used one
Style: APLR2 FFP IR MOA BROWN
I received the scope and recognized right away this is used scope with many ring mounted marks around the tube and eye piece ring. I checked the scope that it is function well, and similar than the Vortex Razor but I want to return because I purchased for brand new, not used one. Send it back for refund to get a brand new one. 5 star for scope quality but 1 star for sending used item. Seller said they never sold an used scope. Really? They tried to blame me. I even not have battery to look at how it is. Within first 15mins after open the box I took pictures and put them in the review. I chat with Amazon associate and they comfirmed that I should not worry for the refund. Amazon should have kick those seller out of Amazon market. ... show more
