Great hiking boots. They’re sturdy, supportive, and surprisingly comfortable once broken in. The waterproofing actually holds up, which is a huge plus for muddy trails or wet grass. The low heel and ankle support make them easy to walk in for long periods without feeling heavy. They look good too — more stylish than a typical hiking boot — and the lace‑up design gives a secure fit. They’re not the lightest boots out there, which is why I’m giving them 4 stars instead of 5, but overall they perform really well. Bought them for trip to Telluride. Very satisfied with these boots. I wore them on a weeklong hiking trip and my feet were comfortable doing 8 to 10 miles a day. Good traction and waterproofing. If I did a ton of hiking year round I would probably invest in a more expensive higher quality pair of boots, but these did the trick for what I needed them for. ... show more

These are awesome boots and I have a great pair of Timberland boots. Very true to size, wear crew socks and keep ankle part lose until you get use to them. I walked for the first time in them last night and no issues at all. If you take your boots off properly the soles won't become loose as I saw im some comments.     • Good Hiking Boots at a great value!!
Size: 7.5 Color: Black
Bought 2 pair in 7.5, black and the khaki which actually look more like taupe to me but tomato tomatto right? The first thing that one should know is that they are 'irregulars'. Which at this great price point is not really a deal breaker for me lol. I buy inexpensive so that I can buy 'multiple's!! The sizing was different between the 2 pair but also different between each pair! The khaki pair was roomier at the toe box and boot itself than the black pair. And the right boot of the khaki pair was slightly wider in the boot itself than the left one. Overall, the black pair was 'tighter' around the whole foot than the Khaki pair. The foot bed is true to size...at least the ones that I received are! I normally wear a 7 wide but to compensate for lack of a wide, I go up a half size, hence the 7.5. The Khaki pair allows me to wear thicker socks with no problem. At the moment, not so with the black pair, (tighter remember) but I'm thinking that they will give a little more with wear. There is no fur inside (hiking boots) but they are warm and I didn't experience any 'leaks' or wet feet. I have not worn the Khaki pair as of yet but I suspect they will perform the same. Its a great looking boot with great traction, delivery was fast and the price point is excellent. Even though I'm cheap I still look for relative quality. I only have one teeny issue with the boots...well not the boots but the shoe strings believe it or not! They are the kind that does not come loose easily once tied however, they are entirely too long!! I had to double tie them! Buuuut again, NOT a deal breaker at this price point! Also, some reviews have mentioned that the boots are 'stiff'...this is true. The sides of the boot up to about the boot collar are rigid which, I am pretty sure they are supposed to be because they are hiking boots! I don't hike but walking through snow and ice or mud, if you have a boot on that has too much 'give', one misstep and you've got an ankle sprain or worse! These boots have great traction too! I bought them to switch out my mid calf boots when the snow is not as deep. I am very pleased with my purchase and hope they become available in additional color options. ... show more
