Okay, life lesson incoming: actually watch the product video before you click buy, because every single product photo is pulling some serious photo editing magic to hide the fact that these boots sag around the ankles like they've been through emotional trauma. I'm talking more "upscale rainboot that's seen some things" than "sleek riding boot ready for the stable." I still dig the look, but nobody prepared me for this plot twist. The first clue something was off? These arrived in a small box that I thought these were the cute ankle boots I ordered. Turns out these boots come folded — and I mean properly folded like someone was trying to mail a letter — which the soft, bendy material totally allows. That same flexibility that makes them comfortable to wear also means they naturally sag around the ankles. But then I remembered back in the 80s, Nena rocking those slouchy boots with sexy tights and short short skirts, and suddenly I was on board. If that look can elevate "99 Luftballons," surely if I dial up the heat…nobody will be looking at my ankles anyway. Here's the thing: they fit like a dream. Ordered a 7.5, got a 7.5 that actually acts like a 7.5. Revolutionary concept, I know. The wide calf design isn't just marketing speak — there's genuinely room in there without looking like you're wearing garbage bags. Slip-on style works exactly as advertised, and the low heel keeps you stable instead of wobbling around like a newborn giraffe. Comfort-wise? Zero complaints. No weird break-in period where you question all your life choices, no surprise rubbing spots, nothing. The round toe actually gives your feet space to exist, and despite looking like they've given up on life structurally, they stay put when you're walking around. The buckle strap is actually pretty clever — it's removable, so you can switch up the vibe. I'm currently investigating whether I can weaponize it to cinch the top and maybe convince these boots to stand up straighter. Science experiment in progress. As for that non-slip sole they're bragging about... it's approximately 90 degrees outside right now, so my winter traction report will have to wait about seven months. Check back with me when I'm not melting just thinking about wearing boots. Bottom line: these are legitimately comfortable, properly-fitting boots that just happen to have the posture of a teenager being asked to clean their room. If you're expecting crisp, military-precision riding boots, you're shopping in the wrong aisle. If you're cool with a more fluid, slouchy aesthetic that feels great on your feet, these are hot. Just don't say I didn't warn you about the whole folded-in-shipping, slouchy situation. That video isn't lying — unlike those suspiciously perfect product photos.

Overall, the comfort and construction of these boots is very good. They came very carefully packaged—the packaging was really pretty impressive. They are made of a heavier PU leather, which is quite flexible and attractive. I was pretty pleased to discover how very comfortable they are to wear. They are true to size: I usually buy a 7.5 although my actual size is more like a 7…I would do that, if I were you, if you want to wear socks. Generally these fit just as I would expect them too, and they are comfortable to walk in. The boots look great, and would be very nice with jeans or a skirt. The only reason that I detracted one star, really, is because the boots do not look to me like real leather, and that matters to me. If they had, they would be perfect. Don’t get me wrong: It’s not that they look cheap, because they are well made. But as someone who works with faux leathers regularly, I know what’s out there. You can get faux leathers that look very much like the real thing. Had the manufacturers chosen material that were more leather-like, these boots would be almost perfect. If that matters to you, given other boots now available on Amazon, it may be that you can find a boot that looks more like real leather that is a better value. If you are not concerned about that and want a comfortable, well-made boot, these are a good choice.

The strap across the top portion of these is placed too high, making the strap unable to stay down and detracting from the overall "riding boot" style of these. They have a pungent chemical smell. I would not recommend these and I don't not think they're a good value for the cost given the overall quality and aesthetic of them.

Great knee high boots. Pull on and off, no zipper. They fit true to size but size up if you want to wear thick socks. I own multiple pairs of shoes and sandals with this brand and these boots fit a little more snug around the heel and over the top of the foot compared to my other shoes with Athlefit. Still very comfortable to wear, just something to consider. The heel height is about 1.5 inches, the shaft about 15” tall and the wide calf measurement is about 17 inches diameter. Slightly slouchy. The buckle is removable and adjustable. The shaft height is slightly higher on the outer leg which I like. Overall, a great boot.
