I'm on the fence about returning this. The belt is NOT for smaller waists (I'm a size 6). I feel like the leg band is not medium resistance. The "hip thrust pad" barely fits the bar at Planet Fitness and even then is still not as comfortable as the foam pads they have there (I only loaded the bar to 50 pounds). The ankle straps were the main reason for starting the search on Amazon, and honestly, after using them, I'm not so sure I need them for my workout because you have to have something to hold onto so you don't go flying. ... show more

I had been using a barbell pad and ankle straps that were pretty cheap and just did the job good enough. However, when I started using these, mainly the pad, I noticed a huge difference. First of all it’s pink, which I love, second, it has a lot of padding so your hips are extra protected and it has velcro straps so it will stay securely on the bar. The ankle straps are comfortable and don’t feel cheap. Haven’t used the belt but I’m sure the quality is the same ... show more

I love this pack so much. I have a home gym and needs a few items just for me. I especially love the soft foam bar cover it came with. I was able to use it on my squat rack bar and alleviate some of the pain I was havening in my neck from legs days without the cushion of that pad.

I’m not a serious lifter, but bought this because I wanted the extra-large barbell pad. It is heavily padded, and about 18” long, which is enough to cover the back of your neck and both shoulders so they’re not bruised or sore after your workout. I can allow the barbell to rest without worrying that I’m going to cause injury or damage to my neck. As a bonus, the set also comes with a heavy-duty lifting belt (I might use one day after I’m ripped and actually lifting a lot of weight), ankle straps which I take to the gym so I don’t have to use ones that have been soaked with someone else’s sweat, and a hip resistance band, which I use a lot and matches the rest of the set. It’s great for squats and some rep exercises – it’s strong enough that I am sore after using it and can tell I’m building muscle. As a proud germophobe, this set gives me some piece of mind, I like having my own equipment, especially for fabric materials that don’t sanitize well. Now I can share fewer germs with the people at the gym. And it comes with a nice bag so i can take everything with me and store it easily.
