I'm a mechanic who occasionally turns in order to repair, modify, or replace parts. Tooling is expensive, so we're trying the discount amazon route. Yeah, they cut. But you have to feed really slowly with these button inserts or they just explode. I had one fracture and it took a chip out of the anvil of the tool holder, so I had to drop it in the Bridgeport and square the anvil back off. It's just softer, cheaper steel, and the inserts are not a good quality and shatter easily. Par for the course, discount tooling. ... show more
