I used the inserts to machine threads on a piece of cold rolled steel bar. Normally the finish after machining cold rolled steeI is not the greatest, but in this case the threads looked really good when they were done. I don't know how the insert will stand up over time or if they could be used on tougher materials, but they are working very well for me. ... show more
