  • Worth it so far
Style: 49" Curved QHD 144Hz G-SYNC Smart KVM Set: OLED
I love that I can switch up the resolution and settings on this monitor it’s nifty. The picture quality is absolutely amazing I was missing out on this. I’m glad I got it wouldn’t trade it out hands down. Love how easily I can do things with it and love that it came with, a high end hdmi, a dpcable along with a power c cable holy man and a usb 3, HOLY! and it runs up to 120hz 😲 and little free bag haha love it love ASUS thanks yall honestly. Dude I love how I can swivel my screen and it so easy to assemble the mechanics are insane love the product. The Dynamics and the weight the refresh rate. I’m eventually getting a PC from y’all but let me tell you the reason why I love this company so much and its products because they are hands down top quality they last years if you take good care of them. I’d like to say thank you and you make it so easy and accessible like your routers are amazing I’ve had one for over 10 years and it survived my daughters baby years that’s how good your technology is. Thank you once again ASUS you never disappoint. You can see the images are the screen resolutions adjusted the ps5 they only allow aspect of 16:9 and yes you can change it like the image from fallout you can see the difference although you can not use the variable refresh rate when in this mode it has to be completely on full screen but if you do that it’ll stretch and look bonky and give you a headache. So avoid the headache because the graphics will mess you up. Just a heads up but other than that I’m so far impressed and fascinated. By the way the only problem I’m having is the sound it’s not working I had to connect my subwoofer because I wasn’t sure if it had build in audio. ... show more

  • Don't update the firmware whatever you do...
Style: 48" 4K 138Hz G-SYNC True 10-bit Set: OLED
I love the monitor's picture quality, it's amazing and it's great for both productivity and gaming. My big complaint is that it comes out of the box with firmware v018 and I updated two more firmwares afterwards that came out, v025 and v026, but after v025 it crippled the monitors auto pixel cleaning process. Now after you first turn on your computer exactly 4 hours later the display goes black while it's doing an automatic pixel cleaning which lasts 6 minutes, after which it should come back on but it doesn't, no key presses on the remote or the computer will bring it back, it just stays as a black screen. You wind up having to physically turn off the monitor and then back on again. Unfortunately, all your open documents and windows are thrown over onto another display should you have any and once this monitor is back on you have to move all your windows and anything you have open back over to this monitor and go into settings and make this monitor your primary monitor again. The only way to prevent this from happening is right after you turn your computer on, set a timer for 3hrs and 57min that way you have 3min to stop what you're doing and manually put it into pixel cleaning mode. This will prevent it from going into an automatic pixel cleaning process. When you perform it manually after 6 minutes it turns the display back on and your good to pick up where you left off. This all started after updating the firmware to v025 and v026, they are what broke this monitor. Three weeks I've been going back and forth with Asus support techs and they say they can't reproduce the issue on their end. I finally got fed up with it and contacted Amazon support about returning it even though I was 5 days past the return date they were kind enough to make an exception and let me return it. If you decide to purchase this monitor, do not update the firmware or this issue will break your newly bought monitor but unfortunately the HDR is really washed out and the only way to fix it is to perform a firmware update. It's really saddening because aside from this issue this could have been one if not the best 48" OLED monitor on the market today and I can count on one hand the number of 48" OLED monitors out there. There's also a whole Reddit community that have this issue and one of the persons actually sent his in under an RMA and got a brand new one back and right after he updated the firmware to v026 it started doing the same exact thing as his last monitor. Ultimately I decided on the BenQ MOBIUZ EX480UZ 48” 4K UHD OLED Gaming Monitor https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0B92K7GG6 which is very new. So new that there's only a handful of YT videos out that review it so I don't know if it will have its own set of issues or it will be OK. Only time will tell. So there you have it, if you update the firmware you'll break this monitor but if you don't the HDR is all washed out. Damned if you do, and damned if you don't. Anyways I hope you find the right monitor. ~Happy Gaming! ... show more

  • Beautiful picture, good brightness. Anti glare is fantastic
Style: 48" 4K 138Hz G-SYNC True 10-bit Set: OLED
This is a very nice moniyor and does everything it says. HDR, fast response time, OLED colors and contrast. Big screen with lots of connectivity. I would caution PC gamers to use the included Dispalyport cable as the included 4k HDMI cable did not work for my RTX 3038ti. As in it would not do HDR or play games at 4k. I assume the HDMI cable is for a console and not the PC. Still I have no complaints about this monitor. It replaced the LED 43 inch version of this monitor ... show more

  • Nice - when it works
Style: 49" Curved QHD 144Hz G-SYNC Smart KVM Set: OLED
PC with a GTX-2080 Super on DP - Supports the 5120 quite nicely. (HDR turned on) Laptop with built in HDMI - Supports only 4k (not fault of monitor) KVM- is terrible, unlike like my older 34" dell. All plugged in items work with DP, but not when switching to HDMI. Tried a USB hub and connected to the monitor, again. KVM doesn't work on HDMI. Have to uplug everything needed and plug into Laptop manually, - Very counter to the KVM idea right? There is no, I mean absolutely no help on the Asus ROG web site for this monitor. Like Zilch, Nada, Bumkins! - which means you're on you're own. The web site is slick looking though, as if that's important. The downloadable software for managing inputs - don't work. OSD choices seem quite forward (been doing IT for 40 years), but it's not. When you select KVM, it automatically changes your screen to Split Screen - Not what a KVM is supposed to do and still doesn't work correctly. So in a nutshell, 1 Pc with proper hardware, it's great. Multiple PC, No. It's horrible. ... show more
