  • Finally. A MOBO that works! And works well!
Style: Z790|WiFi 7
I had a Strix z690-e MOBO that worked for about 2 years. The first GPU slot never quite worked... a problem ASUS was aware of and issued an RMA number that I never used since they quoted about a 6 week turnaround. So, I finally changed course and tried two other manufacturers' boards & both failed in various ways. The last one wouldn't even post! So, finally went back to ASUS and got the Strix z790-e. Tested outside case for post. It came right up. Powered down and installed the board with i7-14700K, 6400Mhz RAM, filled my custom loop with coolant and, presto, everything worked great. All reboot tests have worked so far. XMP settings worked. I don't overclock the CPU, but do a lot of simulations so needed a reliable board. This appears to fit the bill! ... show more

  • Very advanced motherboard with a lot of features
Style: Z690|WiFi 6E
I bought this motherboard for 12700K on BF. And can say for the price 210$ it fantastic motherboard, Wi-fi, and good audio but here is a risk, sometimes I do have some noise instead of clear audio. The reboot helps with that. It's very rarely happening things but unpredicted. In the rest the motherboard, looks like a top product, with a lot of connections, and features, and feels like a premium product of ASUS. Additionally, the box is worth mentioning that you will feel that you bought something really premium. Recommend to buy! ... show more

  • Great motherboard for gaming
Style: Z690|WiFi 6E
This was my first Motherboard I’ve bought with a build in mind, it has just about everything you could need and looks great while being practical. Works nicely with my 3060ti founders edition and i7-13700k. I do recommend getting the cpu block instead of using the arm to press the CPu to the motherboard as it is rather strong. ... show more

  • Asus doesn't care anymore
Style: Z790|WiFi 6E
So I bought this board in December of 2022. Worked okay for a while and would get some weird issues like the motherboard not seeing my drives. Did some bios updates and it would work okay for about 2 to 3 weeks then blue screen on me again and not read my m.2 drive. Unplugged the drive and re-seat it and it would magically see it again. This continued for another month before it crashed on me in the middle of gaming. Now it won't even load into the bios. Just looks like rgb puke inside the case. So everything was getting power. Went through trouble shooting called Asus for the 4th time since buying the board and they said I tried all the troubleshooting they would ask me to do and to rma the board. Sent the board in took them almost a month to decide it was busted and send me a new one and they gave very little updates or progress as to what was going on during that time. Got the new motherboard today. Doing the same thing can't get to the bios the rgb on the board isn't even lightning up (so worsethan before), but again the ram sticks, and the aio pump is lighting up like they got power and they can only get power from the motherboard. Called Asus support again. They told me to do a bios update abs reseat everything. Nothing changed. So now I have to rma the board they literally just sent me haven't even had it for 4 hours. Before all this I would have recommended Asus to everybody after all this I'd steer clear of them. ... show more

  • A Very Stable & Feature Packed Motherboard
Style: Z690|WiFi 6E
I’ve been building Desktop PC’s for 20 years now and have learned from experience that if there is one critical component that can potentially arrive broken or DOA, it is usually the motherboard. So, the motherboard is always the last item on my parts list that I order in case I need to RMA it within the 30 day window. In this instance, my ASUS Z690-E arrived with a bent pin on the CPU socket. The plastic cover that is supposed to protect it was loose and banging around inside the box and most likely was the cause of the bent pin. Probably not ASUS’s fault and certainly not Amazon’s fault. After calling Amazon’s Customer Service, I had a new motherboard replacement within 24 hours and was back on schedule. I’ve always loved ASUS boards. Their motherboard manuals, abundance of features, and BIOS interface makes PC building a pleasure!! The Z690-E has room for 5 M.2 drives and 6 SATA drives, so I was able to add 10TB of storage while still leaving several slots open for future expansion. Four RAM slots, multiple headers for fans, USB 2.0, USB 3.2, USB-C, Thunderbolt, and RGB add multiple levels of versatility. The board is also Bluetooth/WiFi capable and comes with an antenna, and for those of you who have always wondered why your Bluetooth headphones don’t work on a Windows PC, try plugging in the antenna and all of a sudden, they will work just fine. Updating the BIOS along with one click performance enhancement for the RAM and CPU are extremely easy with the ASUS interface. My latest Windows 11 build is fast, quiet, and very stable. It was a fun and easy build, thanks to the performance of this always critical motherboard component. ... show more

  • Easy build meets OC specs and no issues.
Style: Z790|WiFi 6E
Easy build with no issues. Running reliably for a month plus with i7-14700k XMP Ram settings, and a Gen 5 M.2 along with RX7900XT and before that a RTX 3080. I’ve used Asus, ASRock, and MSI in the past and, after a dozen or so builds like Asus the best over the others. This time I also used an Asus case (pro art) and power supply (TUF 1000). ... show more
