abunda_amazon_reviews UPDATE AFTER ORIGINAL REVIEW This monitor is basically flawless. If you travel with a SFF pc or laptop and can afford the very hefty price tag, its actually even better than its marketing advertises. The monitor initially is a bit slow compared to the 240hz TN monitors I’m used to, but if you put it to the fastest overdrive setting you get much faster input response and no inverse ghosting whatsoever. I am a semi-pro fps player who is used to playing on an XL2546, so to say that I had no issues hitting my shots during scrims on this thing is a big deal. What I wasn't expecting was how good its built in DAC was. It actually sounds better than my $200 AudioQuest Dragonfly Red, and could quite easily drive DT 1990 Pros. A+ sound quality. The only possible negative I cant think of is that the adhesive they put over the mesh on top of the speakers is a bit weak, but nothing to be worried about. Mine came up just 1mm on the left side, but i was able to push it back down. So, really theres nothing seriously wrong with this monitor. So why 4 stars? I actually got a stuck pixel about two weeks into using it, and couldn't fix it myself using programs like It sounds like JScreenFix. I’m clearly not the only one with this issue as there have been a few other reviews here and on other sites claiming to have similar issues. I returned mine back to Amazon and ordered another. If the second one has the same issue after a few months, I’ll knock off another star and edit this. If you get this monitor, you wont be disappointed, but be sure to save your warranty info. UPDATE: Took off another star. I came home with my replacement unit. Tested for bad pixels and it seemed like nothing was wrong. I flip the monitor around to attach a vesa adapter to the monitor mount and the rear camera mount is flexing and somehow not properly attached. This is monitor #2 and its starting to get frustrating. This is literally my perfect second screen and I've had two defective units at this point. Its starting to get really hard to recommend this monitor.;;Reviewed in the United States on May 18, 2020;;3.0 out of 5 stars;;Amazing monitor, but keep your warranty - update in review;;Weenieboy;;;Updated review after having used this for a while longer I ordered this to use as both as a portable gaming monitor for my sff desktop and as an additional monitor to use when working from home(sure is nice to be able to work from the back deck with a second monitor). The display is very quick for gaming, and has good brightness/contrast even when I'm outdoors on a moderately sunny summer day. The included USB cable is pretty short and kind of rigid, but I did get it to work with a Cable Matters 3 meter active USB-C cable. For those of you who have a GPU that doesn't have a virtual-link/USB-C port I wasn't able to get a Club3d bidirectional USB-C to Displayport cable to work with the display. You would be forced to use an HDMI port, which means you can't use variable refresh on an Nvidia GPU. The variant that includes the tripod and carrying case wasn't available when I purchased this so I ended up getting a Gorillapod 3K tripod to add a bit more height and angle adjustment. The tripod mounting point on the rear isn't flush with the back of the panel and sticks out a little bit. This kind of an issue as the tiny plastic circle around the mounting point is the only surface that touches the rubber on my Gorillapod, so the monitor can just freely rotate around and is a bit tough to balance if you want to use it in portrait mode. I've sort of worked around this by sticking 2 pieces of 3M VHB double sided tape(leaving the film on the other adhesive side) on the tripod's clip that screws into the threaded hole. The VHB tape kind of acts as a cushion to fill out the gap between the tripod clip and the back of the display to better distribute the weight and add a bit more friction. After having used the display even longer, the tripod mount on the rear is just totally loose and almost useless.;;Reviewed in the United States on May 23, 2020;;3.0 out of 5 stars;;Great quality panel, overpriced, tripod mount point is extremely flimsy;;Simon;;;This is easily the best portable screen I've ever seen! It has a built in battery, supports up to 240hz, 1080P, dual front facing speakers, iPad like smart cover, the back has a camera thread mount. The best part of having the battery is you do not have to plug it into anything besides HDMI for short play sessions, and when it does come time to charge it, plug in a type C cable to your console/pc to charge it without the need for another power supple cord! The sound this puts out is very impressive for its size! The colors and brightness are excellent, along with excellent viewing angles from the IPS display. There appear to be zero hot spots on the panel (usually from the bezels pressing on the display) which is impressive, every screen I've had in recent times has had these hot spots, they drive me nuts! Very well packaged , and feels like a quality product, I love the ROG symbol on the back that lights up when its in use, really like the all aluminum build. The price is high, but your getting what you pay for, if you want the best portable display around from a company you know and trust, you have found it.;;Reviewed in the United States on April 7, 2020;;5.0 out of 5 stars;;Best portable screen I've ever seen!;;Mike;;;This is my first time writing a bad review on Amazon. Magnets are extra strong and even allow it to be held onto a filing cabinet or fridge. The mount on the back could also be useful, except it makes the unit not as flat, so will need to be careful with other screens or laptops in a bag. The option of using either HDMI or USB-C is great. Wish turning them off was a little easier.
