This is easily the best portable screen I've ever seen! It has a built in battery, supports up to 240hz, 1080P, dual front facing speakers, iPad like smart cover, the back has a camera thread mount. The best part of having the battery is you do not have to plug it into anything besides HDMI for short play sessions, and when it does come time to charge it, plug in a type C cable to your console/pc to charge it without the need for another power supple cord! The sound this puts out is very impressive for its size! The colors and brightness are excellent, along with excellent viewing angles from the IPS display. There appear to be zero hot spots on the panel (usually from the bezels pressing on the display) which is impressive, every screen I've had in recent times has had these hot spots, they drive me nuts! Very well packaged , and feels like a quality product, I love the ROG symbol on the back that lights up when its in use, really like the all aluminum build. The price is high, but your getting what you pay for, if you want the best portable display around from a company you know and trust, you have found it. ... show more

Screen: The screen quality is great. Colors look amazing and can be adjusted via an app downloaded from the ASUS website. The screen size makes viewing content very comfortable. Sound: The sound quality from the built-in speaker is horrendous. Be in a very quiet environment if you want to hear anything playing from it. I recommend connecting speakers to the headphone jack or diverting the sound to play from the connected device (i.e. laptop or computer, etc). Functionality: Overall, it functions as intended. There are built-in settings that can be adjusted to your liking, as well as the app to further adjust the display. Be aware that it connects to other devices via micro-HDMI. There are, however, adapters if your device doesn't support that, though. The monitor also won't power on unless there is an HDMI signal being received, and for the sound to play through the monitor, you MUST power on the connected device BEFORE powering on the monitor. Durability: I haven't really dealt with durability issues that others have. The only issue I've has was the headphone jack not working on the monitor I purchased, but the 3- year warrant had that covered. Using the included screen guard as a stand doesn't work so well. It doesn't stand up well with the weight of the monitor, so I ended up purchasing as sturdier stand. All in all, it's a great monitor. Everything works great and functions well minus the poor sound quality. My main reason for purchasing this was portability and name, but there are cheaper and better alternatives on the market. ... show more

Sometime the screen refuses to turn on after the HDMI has received no information or has been disconnected for an extended period of time. When this happens, it really does seem like the monitor is dead and gone Simply holding all four buttons for at least 10 seconds well it is plugged in should reset the screen. ... show more

    • Great screen - However serious quality control problem!

First screen was missing power supply, and bi-directional USB-C doesn’t work from PC, however USB-C strangely only works with a Mac intermittently. I spent two weeks with ASUS technical support and their solution was (too hard basket) and to send it back to Amazon. Keep your expectations low with ASUS support. Amazon Prime support have been excellent. Replacement screen arrived yesterday, plugged it in today and 1/4 of the screen has dead pixels and thin rectangular white boxes that flicker and scatter across the screen. Tried multiple computers PC, Mac and Switch and picture was a mess! This is an amazing screen when it works, however from reading other customer reviews and personal experience ASUS has a serious quality control problem here. Amazon are sending my replacement-to-the-replacement screen this week. Fingers crossed it works because Amazon Helpdesk initially said that they usually don’t replace an item more than once so it’s going to be a roll of the dice if I get a perfectly working screen. I did a lot of research on portable monitor and this one stand out the most since it’s very light, portable, great quality and most importantly it has built in battery!! Only downside of this monitor is the high price (I waited to go on sale) and sound quality, it’s not a big issue but for those who really care about the sound I recommend plugging in the headset to the monitor it makes a huge difference! Besides that this monitor is great! I use it for my ps5 and Nintendo switch! Works great on both! It made me thought that I made the right purchase! Highly recommend it! ... show more

So over all this has been a pretty nice experience, but I've a few issueswhen it comes to devices like this with these kinds of price points, overall the picture is fairly nice I have used it mostly as a monitor for my switch, but have had it setup as a second monitor at my desktop as well, I can't seem to access the menu options if you turn it on and it can't find a signal it just shuts itself off before you can adjust any settings weather the battery is charged or having it plugged in, the speakers are really bad I've to keep mine between 50-85% or it's hard to make out or starts getting really static above 85, the 3.5 head phone jack is not the best it only seems recognize my headphones after I play with it for 20mins, tbh these are the type of issues you would've expected to find on a cheaper brand or lower end product not a big name Asus product, if you just need a fast refresh rate 1080p monitor that you can take on the go with a decent picture this can get it done, but if you want decent sound or your head phones to work properly...you could get a decent picture on a much cheaper product that might actually have features that work, so value for money at these price points they should reconsider using such cheap speakers and ui options, and focus on a more quality product ... show more
