Love my ROG Ally X! This thing is a beast. I can't believe a handheld device can play AAA games at tolerable framerates/ graphic presets. Battery is awesome too. I owned the original ROG Ally and I can say this upgrade is totally worth it. I especially appreciate that they fixed the SD card reader that would burn out due to thermals. Pros: Great Battery Life (Able to play a AAA game for a few hours is a big deal) Good Amount of RAM (24 GB is more than enough for most games) 1TB SSD is a decent amount of internal storage. (The Micro SD slot can expand that to an additional TB.) Versatile (Can play anything from Steam, to Microsoft Games, to any emulator you want to throw at it. Not to mention it is a Windows PC so you can use it as a mobile desktop if you wanted to) Cons: Windows 11 is not the best for a handheld device (Honestly this is the Ally X's biggest flaw. The touch screen does come in handy selecting something when the controller can't.) The handheld can get tiresome on your hands if you are laying in bed solely due to the weight ASUS has had some questionable support over the years. Denying claims and refusing to honor warranty for things that should be honored. Honestly the Pros far outweigh the Cons. Ultimately I enjoy everything about the ROG Ally X. From its Full HD 120Hz display, to its powerful Ryzen Z1 Extreme processor and its whooping 80Wh battery. I've had no problem running games such as Marvel's Spider-Man 2, Assassin's Creed Unity, GhostRunner and many more. Not every game runs at a smooth 60 FPS, but usually juggles between 45 - 50 FPS (depending on your settings). The only issue I've encountered is the grips, or rather there lack of. After about an hour or so of gaming I noticed that my pinkies and ring fingers cramp up A LOT. The back of the Alley X is mostly flat so there's nothing to really 'grip' on to. I've ordered a case which adds grips to the back of the left and right embedded controllers and my fingers feel much better. ... show more
