I had this monitor in my Amazon wish list last year. When it was discounted on a Prime Day, I bought it. I'm pleased with this monitor, especially at the price point. I haven't had any problems with its function. Its resolution is better than the older monitors it replaced. I had been using a setup of two older 25" monitors. Now I use this this 31.5" monitor sitting next to my Macbook Pro's screen, and that's fine for my needs. I don't play sound through the monitor speakers, so I don't know how good they are as monitor speakers go. I use a Bose bluetooth speaker for better sound quality than I would expect from the speakers in a monitor or a laptop. My only negative comment about this monitor: its power cord is stupid short. It wouldn't reach from the monitor - sitting on the desktop of course - to the power strip on the floor below. I've never had a computer peripheral with such a short power cord. I bought a heavy duty extension cord to safely connect the monitor to the power strip.

I found this monitor on sale for $89. My old one was wearing out and this one checked all the boxes: 22+ in, 1080P, speakers inside, HDMI, name brand. Except for the somewhat tinny speakers, always a risk with monitors in this price range, it was a lucky find. I have an HP in the other room that's similar and it has great sound ... but it also costs 2x as much as this one did. This monitor is a keeper. It replaces a Viewsonic in the same price range that developed tiny black spots that look like dirt but are on the inside and won't wash off. That was a disappointment as the monitor was otherwise a good one and I expected to keep it for many more years. My only complaint with this monitor is all the eco settings, many by different names than eco, that make the brightness hard to set. Turning off the variable brightness setting was the key setting for me to get it just right, but there were many other littering the setup that needed adjusting. Expect to play around there a bit.

I bought this on sale because I needed more workspace on my office PC. It sure was cheap (comparatively), and it sure is 4k of screenspace on a panel that's large enough to not need any scaling. Worked right out of the box with my 2022 Dell laptop and dock, found no dead pixels, and no issues when updating firmware. The complaint I have is that the picture is kinda faded/washed out. I tried multiple Displayport cables, an HDMI cable, and even plugging it to a gaming pc, no matter what settings I use it looks pretty bad. Still, if you just need a barebones office monitor and can get this for around 200 bucks, it's not bad.

I purchased two of these, and one had no issues. The other however, is flakey as anything. It doesn't always wake up from screen timeout, it randomly starts going dim and then returns, and this is started after Amazon's return window, but well within ASUS's warranty period (just shy of 3 months actually). If you have an issue with an ASUS piece of equipment, pray it manifests in Amazon's return window as ASUS will make you wait for a refurb to become available before they will ship you a replacement. They will not ship a new model to replace it and your only other option is to surrender your equipment to a repair center and wait for them to either repair or replace (up to 10-14 days I was told). As I use my equipment for work, I was not willing to be down for up to 2 weeks. It seems like a horrible policy as I've now been waiting for over 3 weeks for a replacement since erratic behavior is better than doing completely without. Do better ASUS!

Glad with the purchase. Only other option I might consider is the much larger curved monitors now available. 3 of these do the job though as long as your video card is able to support.
