I specifically chose these mats because they were described as 18 inches wide. Most reviews of mats, people complained that 17 inches was too narrow! When these arrived, not only were they only 17 inches wide, the length was also an inch shorter than advertised on both mats. Not only were they smaller than advertised , they didn’t look near as nice in person as they did in the picture.so they went back immediately! They are more narrow than most kitchen mats. My fault for not looking more closely at the dimensions. I don’t like that they are absorbent. They are harder to clean because of this.
