  • a full rubber outsole "wide width" zero drop shoe for the rest of us
Size: 11 Wide Color: Army Green
I've been looking for a wide zero-drop "sneaker" with a full rubber outsole for ages. I've been a Lems customer for years. The Lems IBR outsoles are fantastic for being lightweight, but not so good for long term durability. I gambled on these shoes after seeing several video log reviews. They are a third the price of comparable Lems shoes, so it was a gamble. The quality was absolutely amazing out of the box. They included a set of extra laces for both shoes, a set of Asitvo arch support insoles (orthopedic) in addition to the shoes themselves. They fit perfectly in my normal size, and the cushioning was just amazing. Aside from loosening the laces on both shoes to get a proper fit for each foot, that was all that was needed before they were ready to go. Very solid for walking, and gym usage. Everything about the shoes suggests high quality in the manufacturing process. I did not find a single defect in the shoes. For the money, I don't see a better value for a zero drop shoe. I would not call this shoe "barefoot", or "minimalist" because of the weight involved in the shoe, but it is zero drop. The simplest way to describe it is a zero-drop sneaker on par with standard footwear, which is exactly what I was looking for! ... show more

  • These shoes changed my life!
Size: 9.5 Wide Color: Black Oxford
I originally received a pair of these for Christmas so I couldn’t review them until I bought another pair. I was able to buy a smaller size than normal because the width of my foot actually fits in them. I cannot believe how good they are for the price. I’ve been wearing my original pair, every day for 3 months now and they still fit the the same, the function the same, and if I cleaned them they would look the same. Before I started wearing these I would have pretty intense heel pain at night. I’ve tried everything. Expensive shoes, vibrating rollers. From stretching to Cortizone shots. Nothing touched the pain. Wearing these every day means my feet are pain free at the end of the day and more importantly first thing in the morning. They are also surprising functional. I have yet to slip on anything, even wet floors, and a metal roof. They also look good! I wear them everywhere and nobody knows I’m wearing special shoes because my heel hurts! I bought this pair just to make this review and just in case they stop making them. BEST SHOE EVER ... show more

  • Primarily used for cycling, but...
Size: 12 Wide Color: Black Oxford
I wanted to try a zero drop shoe with an open toe box without spending the atrocious amount of money on they "trendy" brands just as an introduction and an all around, do anything shoe. The Astivo delivered on that front, slipping them on is like throwing a sock on, super simple and incredibly reasonable comfort considering the flat rubber base. Also included are two different in soles. One pair for flatter feet and one in you have more pronation and arch support. The shoe allows for a more natural barefoot movement, aiming for engagement out of your calves and overall posture, which during short walks is nice to not have the extra cushion to lean into giving me more feedback from my muscles and their limits. The main purpose I bought them was for bike riding, which they work great on Mtb pedals with the honeycomb grip, like a skate shoe really. But with minimal to no cushioning in the mid sole, toes tend to go numb after a few miles riding, but I attribute that to my foot position. Overall it's a comfortable shoe for the easy going that doesn't over complicate anything. It's there, and it works. Diving deeper, I find myself favoring the Astivos more and more. For walking, road trips, and general use. It's probably not a shoe I'd run in, however these really encourage better posture for me and offer lightweight flexibility. And if you're on the fence on this particular type of shoe, this is a great starting point. ... show more

  • Money well spent, value to quality. I recommend this good looking shoes.
Size: 7.5 Wide Color: Dark Grey
First very nice walking shoes. Second, very comfortable. I install immediately the arch support inserts and still very comfortable to walk space inside didn’t change much, everything looks very well done, but there is one exception, and that is the lining inside, specially at the sides that area would not last very long do to where and friction. ... show more

  • Impressive fit and comfort for the price
Size: 8.5 Wide Color: Army Green
For context, I’ve run with mostly minimalist, zero-drop, barefoot-style shoes for around 15 years. I generally like the minimal types, but with age and some foot problems was interested in more cushioning. After 10-20 miles of running I am so far impressed with these. There is moderate padding, as I hoped, so not so much ground-feel but still a zero-drop barefoot-style running experience. My feet run wide and sizing tends to be challenging and variable from brand to brand and model to model, so I went by the sizing guide on the Amazon page and it worked well. The shoes fit comfortably on the first try and don’t squeeze in width or length. I had a blister on one foot after the first run without socks, which I would consider par for the course. In comparison to other low-priced brands and pseudo-brands on Amazon, I’ve been pleased that the insoles remained in place while running on slopes. The soles have held up without visible wear so far. As noted above, I haven’t run a tremendous distance yet, but they at least seem tougher than a pencil eraser. Overall, I have no complaints so far and am quite impressed with quality and comfort for the price. ... show more

  • Sturdy, Comfortable, Good looking, Great Value.
Size: 10.5 Wide Color: Dark Grey
I freakin love these shoes. I don't know or care about the flat drop barefoot thing. I bough them for look and value. They are very comfortable. I wore them every day right out of the box on a 2 week vacation... No issues. Lightweight easy to clean. I have seen other review and report, you can tell the rubber/fabric meetup bleeds. But My color, army green it not enough to notice or care... I have had them on for 3 months now. Love them. Pics are after 3 months of heavy use. ... show more
