These are not true to size, so the reviews that said get a half size up were right. I ordered these to replace Gel Venture 7 Trail Running Shoes, which are currently not available in most sizes. I was very happy with those shoes. I wear size 9 and they were true to size and worked perfectly otherwise for hiking. I reviewed a bunch of other styles and Gel Venture 8 seemed identical to the shoes I had. I ordered my usual size, and they don't fit. This style is almost identical to Gel Venture 7, except for a very slight difference in the shape of the toe box - and that difference makes all the difference. My big toes hit the front of the toe box. No way I am going to wear these shoes. They also are very tight all around - and my feet are very thin, thinner than most, and so if they are too tight for me, they'll be way too tight on typical feet. I have not decided whether to try exchanging these for a pair half a size larger or just return them and wait until the other style becomes available again. If you decide to order these, go half a size up.

They are half size too small. I ordered my normal size and they are a tad too small. I wear 8.5 and these fit like an 8. I have now ordered a 9 and returned the 8.5. Aside from the small fit, they seem like a nice shoe. I haven't received the size 9 yet and will review those for fit and comfort when I get them. I just want to let people know, you might want to order your regular size and 1/2 size up and send back one pair. I wish I had. Now I have to wait. Update; I received the size 9 and its a perfect fit. Feels great, nice shoe and a reasonable price.

Hiked a bumpy rooty rocky snow pack slippy muddy wet trail to Emerald Lake in Rocky Mountain National Park today wearing these and the treads were hands down the best for all the conditions I encountered. Paired with some good smartwool socks, I put them up against any hiking shoe out there. Others were slip sliding all over the trail in their Merrells and I was Queen of the Mountain and comfortable in my Asics. I am going to order 2 more pair when I get home so when these wear out I will have a new pair ready to go. Get these. You won't regret it.

So after trying several different pairs of shoes, finally I found the one. The one that fits my extra wide but very small size 6 feet. I bought these for working out in and they are more comfortable than anything I have tried. Because of the shape of my feet, arches in shoes can cause problems among other things. With these, there is nothing in the shoe that feels uncomfortable to my foot. Thank God, finally. Something that fits and feels good on my feet. Thank you!

I usually wear Saucony brand for trail running and walking shoes, but loved the color combo (light grey and green) of this ASICS running shoe, and it seemed to be rated well, so thought I'd give it a try. Wow, I am impressed so far with the comfort and fit. Very lightweight for a sturdy shoe. Some reviewers commented that this shoe runs small, but for me, 10M my usual size, fits perfect with some wriggle room in the toes. Can't comment yet on the durability of the shoe since I just received them, but so far the fit and comfort are A+ for my daily walks.

Good arch and ankle support. I’m on my feet a lot for work. These are a nice combo of affordable and comfortable to wear for long periods of time. I have pretty wide feet—these are roomy enough that they don’t squeeze my feet or wear a hole in the side. I am also prone to plantar fasciitis and ankle pain when wearing less supportive shoes—when I wear these consistently, the ankle and plantar fasciitis pain goes away.

I love the color of these shoes! The turquoise, the black and finally the gray sole. I have been searching forever for dark colored sneakers without the standard white sole that I especially hate wearing in any weather that involves snow, mud etc. I usually wear a 7 but I have recently been ordering 7 1/2 due to a medical issue that causes my feet to swell. So based on the reviews people said to go up half a size and I did and they are to big. I'm out of state and desperate so I'm keeping them. Amazon famously delayed the arrival date last minute by three days so I took away one star.

I love the Venture shoes. Tried so many different shoes. I’d give it 5 stars if it came with better laces. I like the fact that the older models are made to last much longer, there’s more toe protection and the soles have more coverage than the newer shoes. I run on off road with them. I run on a highway in Hawaii that has a shoulder and than gravel and dirt so I try to get off the pavement on the dirt and gravel when I can. I love these shoes. I like a sturdy shoe that would last for training runs. Than when I race with a lighter shoe it feel so light. I need my running shoe laces tight in the arch area for good arch support and looser in the toe and ankle area so my foot can bend while running. The laces they came with were too thin to tighten where I needed them to tighten. I bought them once before last year but returned them for that reason and bought the Venture 6. Went to replace the 6 and I saw these again at a really good price so I tried them again and decided to try them with different laces and it made a big difference on the fit.
