I really like the kayanos because of the arch support. So this purchase did not dissapoint. They're lightweight and durable. I like the way my ankles feel protected and supported in them as well, since I'm prone to rolling my joints. They're true to size and I plan on wearing them to train for my next half marathon.

Asics has outdone themselves this time. I've been using asics gel kayano for 14 years now. I have flat feet and plantar fasciitis. My feet hurt 24 hours a day. I also work in a hospital, walk all over, getting 10+ thousand steps in an average 12 hour shift. That said, this is the best pair of kayano to date. The arch support is quite superior. It does feel a bit soft. It's very nice but I worry that the shoes will wear down sooner. After wearing for a couple months (I got several pair) about once a week, I'm seeing some signs of compression on the sole. I'm still happy I got them. I have already purchased a couple more pairs.

Before I had these I swore Brooks was the best most comfortable shoe in the world. Then my daughter picked these out for me and I’d wear these every min if I could! The pink backing on the opening of the shoe is thick and soft. They’re cute. They’re plush. True to size. I love them!

Long days on feet, working out, and active lifestyle - this particular Asic is the most comfortable and supportive that I’ve found, for any athletic shoe. The built in guide for pronation/supination, makes them less sleek than some shoes, but that’s also probably what makes them perform so much better. They are top quality. Glad I found them.

The Gel-Kayanos have been my go-to running shoes for years. My feet must have grown, as the regular 9.5 felt a little short this time. I ordered a 10 and it was the right size for me! It's my first time ordering my size in wide with these shoes. I love the fit! I am not a runner; I just work out here and there so I don't buy a new pair each year. My Gel-Kayanos usually last me a few years. I removed one star because I am not crazy about the design of the heel. It makes the shoes almost look like a wedge pair of running shoes. Edit: (10/24/2024) So, I took my new shoes to the gym for the first time the other day. I was disappointed to feel like they were crushing my toes a little when I was running/exercising. It felt like the shoes were too small when I was working out. It was not super painful or anything, but uncomfortable enough to be felt. Edit #2: (11/5/2024) After my first workout with the new shoes, I seriously considered returning them, but decided to re-try the shoes on to check the size. Again, they fitted fine. The toe-box is comfortable and the tip of my big toe doesn't reach the inside of the shoe, so I know I have the right size. Since the crushed-toe feeling only happened when I exercised, I suspected that my feet were sliding toward the front during jogs or more intensive workouts. I decided to tighten the shoe laces to see if that would help. It fixed the problem! My last workout did not cause pain or gave any crushing toe feeling. My feet had never slid toward the front before during exercise, nor did I ever have to tighten my shoelaces. It's the first time this is happening to me with the Gel-Kayanos and this must be my 6th or 7th pair. (Note: I always tie my shoe laces. With these shoes, I don't do it super tight to the point where it's just uncomfortable, but it is definitely tighter than what I am used to.) I will keep the shoes even though they are not my favorite model.
