I use these sneakers for so many things! Mostly I love them because they are snug & well cushioned. They wonderful for high impact things such as running, kickboxing, hikes, long walks with dogs etc. I also use them for work (I’m a nurse, on my feet 12+ hours a day). Totally worth the price! My calves & feet never hurt after my shift, even when I get 10,000 -12,000 (even 14,000) steps at work! Not great for wide feed, but other than that they are literally perfect. I wasn't sure how these were going to work for me. I get Plantar fasciitis every so often and when I do finding shoes that don't make it worse is hard. After suffering trying to wear Brooks and New Balances I decided to come back and try ASICS. In the past I've been a big fan of ASICS. I just found you had to size up a lot on some shoes. These ones I did go up a size and got a wide. There is plenty of room in the toes which I love. There is plenty of padding in this shoe. I like that this version doesn't have that extra thick soles like most of the athletic shoes have right now. I have bad knees and to high of shoes make my knee pain worse. I also love that ASICS offer so many color choices. I got the black and purple and they go together so well. When I bought these Amazon was selling a like new pair for half the cost of a new pair. I took a chance since they could be returned and the shoes were brand new just didn't have all the tags or the ASICS box. My guess is they were a return and maybe the original packaging was damaged in return. 100% recommend. ... show more

These are just as I had hoped they would look. I am a huge ASICS fan and love the support and feel when I run in these shoes. They have just enough support with the ortholite but don't feel like I am running on a mattress. These are good in size, but I do buy a bit bigger so I can wear thick socks and not get blisters. I have always loved these shoes and will continue to love them because they wear well and give great support for long runs or short runs. Great on the knees and hips! I am a distance-marathon runner who runs streets and occasional dirt and these do great on both. Another thing is I love the amount of the gel in these as opposed to the newer ones that have a lot of gel in the arch area that make them feel strange. I think the 29 much better than 31. Okay! I've owned these running sneakers for four months now. I bought size 9.5 M and they seem too small. I owned the Gel-Kayano-27s in the same size before I bought these ones so I thought I was buying the right size but my toes keep butting up against the front of the shoe. If I were to buy them again, I would buy a size 10 M. The shoes are comfortable and they have good arch support and stability but there is a lot of padding in the heel which seems to push my foot forward in the shoe. Another problem I had with the shoes is that my toes would start to hurt when I walked a few miles in them. I changed the insoles and put in the insoles from my old Gel-kayano-27s and my toes stopped hurting. I think there might be a surface on the insoles that rubbed my toes the wrong way? I always wear socks with the shoes so I don't really know what the problem was. Given that my old insoles fit into the new Kayanos, they are probably the right size but the cushioning in the back seems to push my feet too far forward. I have tried using the lacing hole closest to the ankle and got some relief but they are still bothering me. I thought the problems would go away after a while but not yet. ... show more

I bought my first pair of Kayanos back in 2004 when I trained for my first full marathon. I went to the local running store where they did a full evaluation of my foot, stride, etc. and gave me several recommendations. This was more expensive than some of the others, but it was absolutely worth it! It got me through weeks of training and the race without any blisters or pain. I'm on the heavier side with flatter feat. I mostly walk with short bursts of jogging to increase my speed. The Kayanos are the only shoes I buy for fitness. I have others for casual wear, but only buy these for any type of walking or cardio. I buy a new pair each year. They have great stability and cushion, like walking on a cloud. This year, I bought a size 10 like normal and they seem slightly shorter than my previous pairs. Since feet swell when distance walking, I have to get this size. Will see as I spend more time walking if this makes a difference. Highly recommend these for anyone running or walking on a regular basis. Try them first to make sure they fit your feet. I was fitted to ASICS years ago for running. These allow stability and arch support for high fallen arches. These quality far surpasses the other brands toted as being for running. The cushion is fantastic for comfort and I feel stable as I walk. Fit is not tight and I have room for my toes. I’m no longer able to run due to hip condition, but I don’t think I will sway from the tried and true of these sneakers. This is my 7 th pair and I do highly recommend for new runners with high but fallen arches. ... show more

I'm the type that doesn't like to mess with something that works. I've worn Solomons for my runs for decades but have had trouble finding my model. Recently I decided to try a different brand, these Asics, and I'm so glad I did. I didn't know what I was missing! These are like running on clouds with the perfect amount of support. I've ordered a pair in every color I like. I've also got a pair of the Asics Gel Excite and they are good, not as cushioned as these. I also love the toe box design! I've always been a nitpick about having shoes with the leather hem around the toe box, like old school style. These toe box on these is completely made of stretchy fabric and I love all the room my toes have. This is a new discovery for me! What I've learned: don't be too stuck in your ways to try new things. You never know what you're missing out in! ... show more
