Thanks to its engineered jacquard mesh upper, this material increases airflow while creating a softer feel against your foot. A combination of AMPLIFOAM cushioning and GEL technology are placed in the midsole. These features provide better impact absorption with a more forgiving landing at footstrike.

    • Not enough arch support

I actually really like these shoes for their price point. I bought them specifically because reviews seemed like they had adequate arch support. I have found they do not have enough arch support. They are pretty thick foam. If you're used to slim shoes like Converse, they are going to take some getting used to. I wear these with Smartwool socks from REI, and I walked 3-6 miles on a couple days. The first day I walked 3 miles in them, my feet hurt a lot afterwards. Maybe they do need some breaking in because the day I walked 6 miles, I had little to no discomfort. Just the normal weary feet after walking that much, and some pain because the arch support wasn't enough. No blisters, but that might be because of my socks (they are magic!!). The laces are a bit too short for me, and/or maybe I should have sized up since my socks are so thick. Edit: After having these shoes for almost a year, they are worn out and I'm getting ready to replace them. They lasted me 11 months, although they've been too worn out for maybe the last month or so of that. The ways they are wearing out can kind of be dealt with? The back of the inner heel has a hole worn through layers into the foam, and my big and pinky toes have worn holes into the top. The fabric they use for the shoe uppers is very breathable, which means it's easy for water to soak through, and it's soft enough that it wears out quickly. Now, the soles are still fine. If it weren't for the uppers, I could wear these shoes for probably another year. I've been using them almost daily for the gym, walking around town, etc. They did end up having decent arch support, at least it stopped hurting after I broke them in. ... show more

This is my second pair of Ascis. First pair I got during covid and I work in the health care. I am always on my feet. I always say I'm an old lady since I prefer comfort over style (other narrow popular sneakers). The contend-9 lasted few years but they got holes at the toe and side from the use. With the inside go worn down. I really like the ortholite in their brand. I got this pair few weeks ago and wear it only to work. I got so many complements. They are cute and comfortable. I've been wearing Ascis for years and they have worn well, until this last purchase. As stated in other reviews, these didn't last. Within just a couple months, holes started forming in the toes and on the side. By 5 months, the holes are penny size and I need to get new shoes again. Really disappointing as these are very comfortable shoes. If you want your shoes to last more than 5 months, don't buy these. ... show more
