I have been looking for a pair of light weight athletic shoes for quite some time to no avail, until I saw these! I have an injury to my left foot and it stays swollen for days at a time, making it very hard for me to wear most of my shoes and to even be comfortable. I bought these in a 1/2 size larger than my normal size and wide width to accomodate this injury. I was sceptical until they arrived. They have very good support, soles are light and airy but absorb shock well, the wide width and 1/2 up make it easy for me to wear these on my injured foot and actually walk in them with minimal pain!!! I havn't purchased ASICS in many years but I will be a repeat buyer now! I bought the SHEET ROCK/PINK SALT color combo and they are cute! And what makes it even better is I got them at a true bargain price. ( around 39$) I am so pleased with the fit and comfortability of these shoes I will purchase another pair in a differance color soon. I am so glad I found these!! I bought the same kind of shoe (Asics gel contend 7) 1 year ago because I was impressed with the support and comfort, especially the arch support. They were the only comfortable sport shoes at the store. So I bought these on Amazon recently and tried them on... the support felt just like the pair I have had for over a year... not when I first bought them though... I mean they feel like they are already worn down, no padding, and absolutely zero arch support. The whole reason I bought the new ones was so they would give the support I needed for my high arches and sore feet. I'm really disappointed. Great price for decent ASICS shoes. They are great for daily use in gym, walking, etc. Average support. However, cushioning is not close to a higher priced ASICS. I would not want to run too long in these shoes but would need more cushioning. These run wide in toe box so much room for toes to spread out however they are very short…definitely weird and off in sizing…I am usually a size 8 in ASICS but had to go up to 8.5 which slightly big but 8 was simply too short. ... show more

After reading all the reviews that said these shoes run small and narrow I ordered a half size bigger and wide width versus regular. They were still way too short but width was good (even though I don't normally wear a wide shoe). Ordered a second pair 1-1/2 sizes bigger than normal and wide width and they fit great! I liked everything about these shoes. They also are for over pronated feet. The shoe laces could stand to be longer if using the last holes at the top of the shoes. Plus they were a great price. I want to purchase another pair. Great shoes all the way around. Thank you for a good product.

I like the design and comfort of the shoes. They are very light. What I don't like is that they are small and narrow.. I usually wear a 8.5 or 8.5 wide. I ordered the size 9 but wish I had gotten a 9.5...these shoes run small !

This was my second pair of this model, and I have to say that I am disappointed. After some weeks of frequent wear, they still don't feel like "my" sneakers. I reordered them, obviously, because I really liked the pair I bought a few years ago, but I feel this pair isn't the same quality. There is little cushioning, and the material doesn't seem to cozy to my foot the way a good sneaker material ought to-- feels like cardboard, almost. Well, live and learn. Ok so I'm a size 9 and rarely a 10. These run small. The cushion and width makes them run small. I am keeping them because I have narrow feet and I'm using these to workout at home. If I used these to run outdoors or anywhere outside my home I would get a size 10 and if I wear socks for winter I would definitely need size 10.
