Highly recommend. I have neuropathy, which causes my feet to be partially numb. When walking in many other shoes that were marked "orthopedic", I found I was still getting increased numbness and lower back pain. I tried these, am much more comfortable walking, and it helps prolong the amount of time I can do it comfortably. I typically wear a size 7, but I like to order a 7.5 for a little extra room. Being on my feet for 12 hours, my feet tend to swell a little by the end of my shift. I ordered a 7.5, and they fit tighter than most 7's. Thinking the "comfort foam" simply made them feel snug, I made the mistake of wearing them to work. I buy Asics a lot.and am usually never disappointed. I like that this pair has a squishy foam sole, because I go up and down a fair number of stairs at work by choice and it keeps my feet from hurting and my legs from getting tired because they are really good at absorbing shock. I like these shoes because of the wide widths they come in. The new version of these are NOT as wide as my older ones. I can see the difference of the width before even putting them on. I usually go up a size due to wearing shoe inserts and now these bearly fit with the inserts; whereas, I had a little extra room that allowed my foot to swell after wearing long periods of time. I'll keep these and see how they do but they are not true to size anymore and disappointed that they are not as wide as well:( ... show more

I chose the Gel-Contend 7 because I liked the available colors and price point after I wore my Gel-Venture 7's out after about 2 years of heavy/daily use. I've been wearing this pair for about 6 1/2 months (not heavy/daily use) and they already will need to be replaced as they are coming apart at the seams above my big toe. After reading through some reviews, I see that it appears to be a common problem with this shoe, regardless of color. I'm very disappointed and wish I'd chosen a different pair of sneakers. They are comfortable and nice looking sneakers, but they have not met my expectations regarding durability at all. ... show more

Size: 10 Wide Color: Barely Rose/Rosequartz
The shoe was super cute and looked cute on and felt comfy except for being to small. I wear a 10 wide and needed a size to 1/2 size bigger and don't think the shoe was a wide. It looked small when I took it out of the box.
