I randomly found a pair of Asics shoes like 8 years ago when I was in New Zealand looking for some good reliable street or trail shoes that I could wear anywhere including hiking up mountains and those Asics shoes were AWESOME and lasted me several years. I recently was looking for a new pair of everyday walking shoes that I could occasionally run in too and tried all the brands New Balance, Hoka, Saucony, Brooks etc and did find solid pairs from all those brands, but these Asics were more comfortable whether walking or running and for a much better price. After having these for a couple months I'm really glad I got em. They are technically stability shoes (but very subtle stability which is better for me). I'm a neutral walker/runner and don't really need stability shoes and they work great for me. From what I understand the newer 12 and 13 models have a little more stability to them, so if you do pronate those might work. Not sure how the newer models fit, but I had to go a 1/2 size up in this model and they fit perfect. I believe this model is discontinued now, but honestly all the running shoes from Asics I've ever tried on were very comfortable for my feet. They look good and feel great.

I’ve been a road-jogger for 25 years, with some breaks here and there, and ASICS have been my shoe of choice for most of that time. They seem to fit my somewhat narrow feet better than other brands. I either run in a stability shoe or in a neutral model with a rigid insole since my feet overpronate moderately. My average weekly distance is 10-12 miles, so not a whole lot anymore. The GT-1000 11 isn’t really all that different than the ASICS stability shoes I bought twenty years ago. There’s a built-up area under the arch that keeps the foot from rolling inwards too much. When combined with a stiff heel counter and supportive upper, the effect is to ensure proper gait alignment. It works really well and is reliable. I like the fit on the 11th iteration of this shoe, which suits my slimmer feet well. My feet feel really locked-in. I would imagine wider-footed people would need to make sure to order a wide. I also love how light these shoes feel. They look heavier than they actually are. There is ample cushioning through the whole length of the shoe, but more at the heel which is great for heel-strikers like me. The stock insoles are thin and I may eventually replace them with Dr Scholls for added cushioning and to make my shoes last longer. These kicks also look cool, with bright colors that pop. All told, these GT-1000 shoes are absolutely superb for daily jogging and are a real value for their low cost. I very highly recommend them to any runner who is looking for some extra foot support. You really aren’t going to find anything better at this price point. I hope ASICS keeps this model in their rotation for a very long time.

The shoes are very comfortable and fit true to size. Very comfortable to run in or train in. They arrived much sooner than scheduled and I was very pleased with the fast delivery process The only drawback is the mesh by the big toe especially. It is not reinforced well and the toe can poke a hole through the mesh creating an unsightly hole. This is the reason I had to order another pair. Other than this it’s a great shoe
