Description

The GEL-VENTURE 10 shoe has been modified to provide better cushioning. Its functionality has been strategically designed for when you're shifting from the outdoors to city streets. The midsole has been modified with AMPLIFOAM cushioning and a higher stack height. When combined with the rearfoot GEL technology, these features help create a softer and more comfortable feel underfoot. Meanwhile, the outsole features an advanced traction pattern that's functional for the road and trail surfaces. Polyester upper and lining. Ethylene vinyl acetate insole. Lace-up closure in a round toe silhouette. Pull tab in front and back for easy entry. Synthetic rubber outsole.

I don’t usually write reviews, but I had to share my experience with the ASICS Gel-Venture 10 running shoes. I've been dealing with plantar fasciitis for over a year now, and finding shoes that are both affordable and comfortable has been a challenge—until now. Right out of the box, these shoes felt great. The rearfoot GEL cushioning and supportive sole really stood out. I could feel the difference in my heel and arch support almost immediately. After just a few days of wearing them for walks and errands, the morning heel pain that used to slow me down was noticeably reduced. I’m not saying it’s a cure, but for the price, it’s the best relief I’ve gotten from any shoe so far. The fit is solid but breathable, and they’ve held up well with daily use. I wear them both on trails and around town, and they’ve given me reliable traction and comfort every time. For under $70, it honestly feels like I got a much more expensive shoe.     • Impressive Shoe That's Worth More Than It's Price

I needed shoes to hike up Angels Landing in Zion. I decided on purchasing these instead of boots to allow a little more range of motion. I wasn't expecting much due to the price. Boy was I wrong. These shoes are durable. It can definitely take a beating. The material is sturdy, but lightweight. It seems to be water retardent, but not fully waterproof. The shoes also look pretty good. But most importantly, they were comfortable to wear. I was able to complete the hike with no issues. The shoes were grippy (a must when hiking on smooth sandstone) and did not impeded in walking. These are my husbands favorite style of shoes! We have been buying asics for years, they provide great support on a budget for a runner. They fit fairly true to size, but are wide enough that we don’t need to buy a wide width shoe. If you are looking for an every day wear, these are excellent for that too! Having enjoyed several pairs of version 4,6 & 8, this is still a reliable and very comfortable shoe. I've been wearing Asics for years. Always comfortable right from the start. Until this pair. When my Gel Venture 9 pair finally wore out I was disappointed to find they weren't still selling them. Okay I'm sure the new model will be just as good or better. Wrong. Not nearly as comfortable for whatever reason. Stiffer even after walking 25+ miles. Seems slightly smaller too. Maybe I just got a bad pair but I'm going to have to try on my next pair before buying. ... show more

    • Beatiful trail shoes, but beware they run small.

I have worn a 14 asics for 20 years, but have found that their TRAIL shoes run small. Other reviewers here have noticed that as well. Tried on a size 14 at the box store nearby and they were tight, like big toe pushing past the end of the toe box tight. Took a chance in disbelief and ordered a size 15 in these trail shoes here on amazon, half expecting to return them for being too big. However, they fit perfectly, with a tiny bit of space at the end for movement. Note, they will look HUGE compared to your foot. You must put them on, because alot of padding is present.
