I’ve been an avid long distance runner for nearly 40 years, and completed 3 full marathons (personal best NYC Marathon 3:31:07) and never had a running shoe that I love as much as my new ASICS 25 Gel Nimbus. I thought the ASICS 24 Gel Nimbus were very good, and these 25 Gel Nimbus are even better than the previous design. The mesh hugs the foot perfectly like a glove, is flexible and durable. The shock absorption of this heel makes you feel like you are running on clouds of comfort. I’m 55 years old, and running on pavement is tough on hips, knees, ankles and joints so this shoe absorbs that shock and makes running enjoyable and fun again. The price-tag on this shoe at $160 is well worth it, and I might buy several pairs in case ASICS ever messes with this design and makes the shoe less amazing. I normally don’t write reviews unless something I purchase really makes me happy, and amazed. This shoe has accomplished that. I hope this helps others make their decision for this particular shoe. By the way, I’m don’t think the other designs like Cumulus measure up to this Nimbus. I hope ASICS reads these reviews and keeps this design since they hit a home run with it.

The Nimbus 25 is a very different shoe than my last pair of Nimbus 23. The cushioning is more thought out and works well with internal gel cushioning. The sole is overall thicker but not as clunky as the older version. The top wraps your feet is super soft material and still provides good ventilation. The shoe feels lighter and more in control. They’re probably good for leisure runs but could work for long runs since they’re so confortable. They look great too!

Absolutely amazing. I have owned a lot of shoes over the years but nothing comes even close to it. I don’t feel like wearing any other shoe ever since I put this on. They are super cushiony and comfortable, perfect balance, great for the heel and knee. This is the first time I bought a shoe and wouldn’t mind buying it again once it wears off. Hats off to ASICS for the wonderful product

Bought these shoes for running, after having Asics Gel-Nimbus 16,19 and 21. This current model has a big difference in the design, shape and feel. The main difference for me is the rocker shoe feel. It causes me to feel less stable, especially while running and turning. It took me more than a few single runs to get used to it. Still, they are very comfortable and cushioned. The material feels very good and high quality.

I walk about 3 miles a day, every day. The Hokas started getting smooth spots on the tread after three months. That's way too soon for a $200 pair of shoes, even if they did make it about 270 miles. So I set out to find a replacement: - Saucony Triumph 20 - not quite there - Brooks Glycerin 20 GTS - too hard - Mizuno Wave Sky 5 - too hard - Brooks Caldera 6 - not squishy plus my foot pronates at the end of a step - New Balance Fresh Foam X More v4 - close, but not quite there. Then, these. I had to go up 1/2 a size and get a Wide, but these are super comfortable and nice and squishy. Others have complained that they're no good in mud, but if you want good in mud get hiking boots. I put some water on a painted concrete floor and these did just fine.
