I suffered an injury years ago that left my legs drastically different in strength. As a result my shoes have been wearing unevenly whereas prior to the injury, they always wore virtually the same. I'm now recovered but I recently noticed a difference in wear patterns and I immediately sought a new pair of shoes. Despite the current pairs still having plenty of life in them, I'm now no longer worried they're compromising my gate. The support I get from these is noticeable and it took a few days to adjust to that, though it was comfortable throughout that process. The arch support is great and though the heels are a bit thick, my body needs that while I refocus my walking on evening out my strides. I wore these in a Tough Mudder and Spartan race this year and they did extremely well in the mud and going into water. I will be sticking to these for my race shoes.

I must say that I am a bit bias, I have used ASICS for many years. Good for many sports and casual wear. Comfortable and good looking. That said, what you get for the price is exceptional. Also, pretty sure they're all polymer construction for those that care, and because of the breathability, water goes through them but doesn't cause damage. I like that because I go knee deep fishing with an older pair, just wash with a hose and they're good to go. Thumbs up! ... show more

And these are just as comfortable and durable as every pair I've owned. I use these for work and have a lot of uneven terrain (gravel, dirt, etc) and these keep my feet from killing me at the end of the day. They are also very durable and feel great. I suppose they would be good for hiking too, but I've yet to find any brand as good as Asics. ... show more

    • Good overall, lower quality than expected
These are great trail runners but the inner lining haven't lasted nearly as long as I was hoping. They started to wear out holes on the inside heels after only a month. However, the outer shoe seems to be wearing well and it's decently comfortable.

    • Okay for the price
I generally trust asics shoes to fit and to last >1 year. It's hard to assess all the different models remotely. I like the simple design and lower price (<< $100), but it does seem thinner than previous asics I've ordered. We'll see how they hold up to walking mountain roads and trails.
