When I first got these shoes I was blown away at how supportive and comfortable they were compared to my old (admittedly cheap and very work out shoes). I had tried on the Gel-excite 9’s in the store and got these to save a few bucks, which ended up being just fine and with it. They are very much worth the price and work wonderfully as every day active shoes. I like these shoes a lot except for two complaints. Water-resistance and surface durability. Firstly, the shoes let all water in instantly. If it’s even raining a light drizzle my socks get soaked immediately. Secondly, I have a slight anomaly in my step that causes me to occasionally lightly brush the inside heel of my right foot against the inside toe of my left foot. After only a very short time of this, the mesh on the left toe was completely worn through. This is also how it last shoes wore out, but it took a lot longer. Additionally, the coloring on the sole seems to wear out over time. After a long time of normal use, this paint seems like it’ll flake off entirely.

I got these for my teenage sons; they are really hard on shoes, so I was pleased to find a decent looking shoe, at a good price point. $15 less than a local box store for the same shoe. They have both said that the shoes are very comfortable, and they are holding up well so far.

I ordered these shoes for my husband. He walks the dogs daily. He said these shoes were like walking on clouds so comfortable. He's extremely happy with them and will be ordering another pair soon.

Very comfortable and fits great. I had a pair of these already but needed a new pair after getting the old ones dirty working in the operating room. The laces could be longer to make it easier to keep the shoes tied so its easier to just slip them on.

I've been an Asics customer since way back in high school as a wrestler (longgggg time ago). Asics was the only wrestling shoe option back then. Over the years I stuck with the brand for sneakers, trainers etc. I've never been disappointed with any Asics product. The Gel-Excite-8 is an excellent all-around sneaker option for walking, lite running and even lite trail applications.
