My review spans both the Cumulus and the Nimbus, and both 22 & 23, since they are so close to each other. The Cumulus is a touch lighter, but the Nimbus is still light and comfy too so don't worry. These are how shoes should fit, to a T (at least to me and my feet and what I need). Holy cow I never realized how crappy the other shoes I'd been wearing over the years really were until I forked over the cash and tried these based on reviews here. I wanted to sleep in them they are so comfy to me. I work in a hospital and am on my feet 12+ hrs all shift and I've never had such a great shoe. Soft, lightweight, airy and well ventilated, supportive, they just hug my feet and have great grip even on wet hospital floors (Wet with what? Well, use you imagination there). Sometimes I even run in them, down the halls when a code is called overhead. Otherwise they are simply outstanding for walking all day on hard floors too, not just running. I have ponied up and bought about 5 pairs of these in different colors and have a few stashed away in my closet for when they're needed since after a while my size is no longer available anywhere, or maybe only in the ugliest color, so I've learned to stock up when I find something I like, like you would with other things you stock up on. Anyway, bravo ASICS, these are great.

I wear a size 12 in shoes other than Asics. I have been an Asics fan for decades and have always worn size 13 in Asics running shoes. I am using an ortho insert to support high arches and supination. I had to add this insert on top of the footpad in the shoes because my ankles would rub against the outside of the shoes without the insert. I have not experienced this issue with any of my other Asics running purchases. With the added insert (half the price of the shoes) the shoes are very comfortable.

My first impression is favorable. I haven't tried putting my orthotics in, but I suspect they might make the shoes too snug. I currently own Saucony Liberty ISOs and Brooks Adrenalines - both of which have wider toe boxes. I'm OK with the Asics, but I will probably return to Saucony and Brooks in the future. For what it's worth, I use the shoes for walking and everyday wear.

Size 13 fits great, but I have a narrow foot. The shoes have great cushioning and excellent cushion around the ankle. I have worn Asics running shoes for over 10 years and they have always taken care of my feet.

I’ve been using Gel-Cumulus since 2009 in basic training. They were my first pair of running shoes and made my ankle feel supported and I felt like I could fly in them. These 23’s feel like I am running on clouds, with the air conditioning running full blast on my feet, all while supporting my ankle. These are the only brand of running shoes I will buy. Best pair of running shoes I have bought from ASICS yet.

I looked all over for a shoe I felt like I could be confident in when walking my dog. I felt pretty good about Kuru, so I invested in a pair. It was the most I had ever spent on shoes, other than dress shoes, but with as much walking as I planned on doing every day with my lab/husky, I wanted something that would offer the support and comfort I needed so I didn't have to think about the shoes when walking. I wasn't opposed to spending on something that was engineered well. I received my Kurus and as soon as I started walking in them I noticed that the back of the shoe was rubbing against my heel, even with socks that extended up past the top of the shoe. I dismissed it and gave them another shot, but my heels felt even more raw the second time. I had to return them and look for something else. I settled on these ASICS. I normally wear 10.5 normal fit and have never ordered a Wide shoe in my life (I wouldn't consider my feet very narrow, but normal shoes have fit well for me without any issues), but based on other review recommendations saying that the non-wide is very narrow, I took a chance on getting the 10.5 Wide and it actually fits very well. So well that I'm afraid of how tight the non-wide would fit if I had gotten that instead. What I really like about these shoes is the immediate comfort I experienced when walking and not having it rub against my heel. I did have some concern about lower back pain, but I do not believe it was the result of switching walking shoes as it subsided after a week. After breaking them in, it is a really good shoe for me and I'm happy with my purchase.
