I exercise walk for about an hour each day reaching about 4 miles on concrete. These feel great on my feet for any activity. I have tried other sneakers and the ASICS Men's Gel-Contend series has always worked best for me. They can easily be had for around $40, with shipping included, when on sale. I am a heel striker and the heel wears out before the rest of the tread. I usually get about 3 to 6 months wear out of these before replacing, because of worn tread...between 360 to 720 miles. In the photos above, the shoes I am reviewing are the grey ASICS Men's Gel-Contend 7. The shoes with the black with blue stripes are ASICS Men's Gel-Contend 6. As you can see the styling has changed from the 6 to the 7. Also, the ASICS Men's Gel-Contend 6 tread is on the left and the 7s are on the right. Notice the change there also. Not sure if the 7 tread will have more mileage or not since I have not been able to use these yet. The new 7s do feel very comfortable on my feet with the first try on. I always go up a half size with any running shoe, as I have done with these, in a medium/standard width.

I stand usually 8 to 10 hours a day in a busy pharmacy and the fatigue mats on the floor don't always cut it. A pharmacist I work with recommended these to me and I can say they make a huge difference throughout the day. Only thing is it could use better arch and ankle support, and although I've only had these a few weeks I can already feel the gel insole material beginning to impact.

I use this for walking in our hot desert climate. Cooler than a regular walking shoe which is better for me in our hot climate. The shoe is comfortable after break-in; seems well constructed; nice looking shoe. The shoe is lightweight with nice colors. This shoe looks like it will last me for about 3 years of my walking exercise. I can use in the winter when not too cold. I purchased a second pair for casual use and some office work use. I am very happy and satisfied with these shoes.

The shoe fits a little tight than what I’m normally used to wearing. I would purchase it again but go up a half a size pretty sure that would make all the difference. All in all for the money it’s a great quality shoe.

Comfortable from the start for my wide feet. A side anecdote: Up until last year I was a size 11 regular in Saucony and other shoes. Come the end of the pandemic and I was 11.5 Wide. For lack of properly fitting shoes I developed plantar fasciitis, a painful condition that lasted over 6 months. After several trials I came upon the Asics, size 12 Wide. Perfect fit. Plantar condition showing improvement to tolerable levels. I attribute the size change to the continued wear of Crocs for over a year of social isolation and mostly indoor living.

My husband has had at least 6 pairs of these shoes. A horse stepped on his foot years ago. So there is pain. He's had all brands of shoes but he says these are most comfortable. When they start looking a little tired he switches them to yard work or working in his shop. Sometimes they get so gross I toss them but they don't seem to wear out. Good value in the world of obscene pricy athletic shoes!

It’s comfortable and takes some breaking into. The support wears out fast but I work out in these and run and I’m a heavy man. Can’t go wrong if you’re on a budget.
