Don't worry about the little kids vs big kids sizing. If your kid wears a 2 a big kids 2 will fit like their other shoes do. I don't know why they do that its unnecessarily confusing. Fit was as expected, though they are a bit narrow (not an issue for my son, but if you kid has wide feet bear that in mind). Quality is standard ASICS that I've come to expect having had three or four pairs of ASICS wrestling shoes over the years. They hold up and don't wear out. You definitely want to get your kid shoes, even if they are just starting. Most organizations won't let them wrestle barefoot and socks on a wrestling mat is a good way to slip and get hurt. These arrived super fast too. They were a bit on the pricey side, compared to most kids footwear, but most kids footwear is junk if we're being honest, so you tend to get what you pay for.
