The cable and clamps are on the small side but will work fine for my application. The stakes however, are nice and strong and feel very solid once installed. I did go to the local HD and pick up small turnbuckles to help tighten and is highly recommended. I was concerned that the thin cable would begin to slice into the plastic resin roof of my shed, so I found small angle brackets with grooves that keep the cable in place at HD also. The brackets worked perfectly. I live in Houston area and the ground is all clay. I had a bear of a time getting the first anchor to grab hold, but once I figured out what was needed, the next three went in without issue other than needing a fair amount of work. In the end, the way I got them in the ground was to use a very large screwdriver and spin slowly with one hand while steadily hitting the top with a 32 oz hammer, nearly full strength strikes. The top of the anchor did lose paint and slightly flattened from the hammer pounding, but help up very well considering the force I was using. A mini sledge would have been even better, but I do not own one. Also would have been significantly easier with 2 people, one to hammer while the other is turning slowly. Once the anchor had about 2/3 of its length in the ground, it took enough of a bite to pull itself down while turning without further hammering. I used this method on the other 3 with basically identical results. I used the turnbuckles to get the cable nice and tight and it was pulling the roof down while the anchors stayed very solid in the ground. ... show more

I have a metal shed that sits flat on the ground, or in my case, on some paving stones. No built in anchors, nothing came with the shed. These anchors are easy to install, they go deep enough to handle winds (at least up to 50 mph, that's the highest we've had since I put these in). One minor drawback, the fasteners that attach the cable to the anchors is just a clamp, and it requires loosening the nuts and pulling the cable tight when it needs it. I replaced them with turnbuckles, makes it a lot easier. Not a major issue, though, only had to do that once so far. Highly recommend. ... show more

I bought these to replace some different ones I had that did not work nearly as good as these. These hold down 4x4 post that are holding up hammocks. Haven’t come out of the ground like the old ones did

Easy to use and would have given 5 stars but the photo shows 16 cable clamps and there were only 8. However I conatcted the company through Amazon and they replied the next day that they had shipped the missing 8 cable clamps so customer service replied promptly.

Nice powder coating and too easy to install probably because they do not hold strongly in southern sand. Waiting to see if time and rain compact the sand enough to increase the hold. Oh, missing 1/2 the clamps so for a couple of buck I bought 8 at the hardware store.
