The Arturia MiniFreak Vocoder is a 6-voice polyphonic hybrid synthesizer with dual digital engines and 31 oscillator modes. From Virtual Analog and FM to Granular and Wavetable synthesis, it supports basslines, leads, pads, evolving textures, and experimental sound creation. The integrated 16-band vocoder allows processing of vocals or external audio using Ext In or Self modes with Clean, Vintage, Narrow, and Gated variations for precise tonal shaping. MiniFreak includes polyphonic analog filters and VCAs for added depth and definition. A 64-step sequencer with four modulation lanes, performance arpeggiator controls, two LFOs per voice, and a 7-source modulation matrix provide detailed movement and pattern creation. It supports 6-voice polyphonic, 12-voice paraphonic, unison, and mono modes, with 268 factory presets and 244 user slots for customization. MiniFreak V software mirrors the hardware and works in Standalone, VST, AAX, Audio Unit, and NKS formats on Windows 10+ and macOS 11+ systems. USB connectivity, MIDI in/out/thru, balanced stereo outputs, sustain, audio input, and clock connections allow integration into studio or live environments.
