Alas, I wish I read the comments more carefully. This is what I get for doing late night online shopping while drinking. This kit, although a creative concept... is basic and not worth the price. Mine arrived with mustard powder everywhere and a missing cap. It looks poorly packed and as someone else mentioned- looks tampered with. Call it paranoia, but I just couldn’t trust it and threw it out. Lesson learned. Never again. Now learn from me! ... show more

    • Damaged merchandise sent.
I had the same experience as another reviewer. The box had obviously been opened, some components had been removed and others broken. With twelve days left until Christmas and the necessity of mailing the package across the country, I am more than disappointed.

This kit, as well as the other kits sold by this company, is such an interesting concept. Providing the ingredients and information about the processes of doing these DIY crafts is really cool in my opinion. I never would have thought about getting down and making my own BBQ sauce before and now it's one more experience under my belt. I will definitely be ordering another one of the other kits they sell to try something else new. ... show more

Ended up not using this as a gift. The box seal was broken which made me question the contents of the box. It definitely looked like it had been tampered with. If this was a non consumable item and was not being given as a gift we may have been able to overlook the seal on the box being cut open. But not willing to rush it we threw it out and got a refund. The box had opened and everything was rolling around in the bag. The vinegar had not been closed properly and leaked all over everything. I love the concept but a lot of what was in the box isn’t usable now and everything smells of vinegar. I’ll put together what I can for my husband for Christmas. Had it been packaged better I would be much happier, and not have a smelly mess to deal with. ... show more

Everything you need is provided for 3 recipes. I would have liked a little more information and ideas to change/increase the flavors as desired. We will do a little more research on-line and most likely alter the recipes to our tastes. I had just hoped the information would be part of the package. It is well packaged, looks interesting, and I suspect we will enjoy creating our own recipes as a family. ... show more

A good concept but you pretty much have everything in your kitchen already. Plus, they didn't include enough of everything. Save your money and buy something else for the foodie in your life.
