This is a very strong liquid smoke, so tread lightly. If you're using it for jerky or something like that, start with less than you think you need and work your way up on batches or it will be overpowering.

most of it gets poured onto cook surfaces. Two stars because there is no stopper on the bottle top. This makes it difficult to pour 2-3 drops on food. First use instead of 2-3 drops was about 6-8 drops. Plus, with no stopper, excess liquid pours down the sides of the bottle wasting a good amount. Yes, it does give a good smoke taste if you can get the right amount of drops, but until a stopper is added, I'll buy other brands. ... show more

Not returning it, but I bought it because the title said mesquite, but when the item arrived, it's says hickory. Now I look at the picture and it says hickory. So the item is mislabeled.

Everybody warned me that liquid smoke wouldn't taste right, but we've been using it on tofu and tempeh and it's been great. This was also the best price deal. Cheap enough to share some bottles with friends.

Man oh man, I live in an apartment and can’t grill on my balcony. My coworker told me about this and it’s the best thing popping. I put just a cap full on my steak and put it in the broil. Taste like it was straight off the grill. I love it and you don’t need to use much.
