Traditionally I always been using plastic rakes so I'm happy the have found this metal option. This material is strong yet light weight. So I expect it to get a good duration of use from it. It also was very easy to put together and start using right away. The adjustable handle also makes it very versatile for different users.

This rake is amazing

The overall build is better than expected in some areas. The rake head is metal, not plastic, and has a decent weight to it. The handle sections are also sturdier than they look, and once assembled, the pole feels solid during use without much flex. One thing to be aware of is how this is described as “adjustable.” There is no telescoping or sliding mechanism. The handle is made of threaded sections, so changing the length means removing a section entirely. It can be shortened, but not fine-tuned to different heights. The rake head is on the smaller side at 18 inches wide, and the tines are short and closely spaced. It works, but it does not move a lot of material per pass. Covering even a modest yard takes more time compared to a wider rake. The shorter tines also limit how much you can gather in a single pull, especially with leaves. Because of that, this feels better suited for smaller areas like patios, flower beds, or very compact yards where control matters more than speed. For larger spaces, it is less efficient in practice. Overall, the materials are decent and it functions as expected, but the size and handle design make it more of a small-area tool than a general yard rake.

I do so much yard work, I almost didn't order this because between the price and design, I knew it was going to be junk. Ultimately I decided to try it because if nothing else, my 10 year old could probably use it for light jobs. Boy am I glad I ordered it though. It has far exceeded all expectations. The rake is easy to assemble. There are two wing nuts and screws used to attach the rake to the handle. This is an excellent design choice because it eliminates the potential for the head to come loose from the handle as you use it which is a common problem for low end rakes with threaded heads. The tines are thick and rigid, so this bad boy actually grabs small sticks and debris and moves it along with no problem. Because of the design of the tines, I've found things don't really get hung up on them either which is nice. The 62 inch handle is a lot. I think tall people might really enjoy using this. I'm an average 5'7, so I can't really tell you if that's the case for sure, but I only use 3 of the segments and it's very comfortable for me to use. The threaded joints go together well and I haven't had any problems with them coming loose through extensive use clearing underbrush. I would caution folks who may not know not to overtighten the plastic joints though. I think this is a great all around rake for small yards, and a fabulous addition to the arsenal for those of us with larger yards. If you have a high volume of leaves, this is going to take forever because it is low profile and a relatively small head. For thatch and sticks and jobs where you need something small but mighty though, this is your rake. I have a collection, and let me tell you this one right here is officially my go to metal rake. It is an INCREDIBLE value at $22.99 and honestly, this is one of those things where I feel like if you have a yard and you don't buy this, you're missing out. I'm going to order another one just in case these aren't around by the time something happens to this one. Maybe even 2 more because I'm hard on rakes and I will spend the rest of my life comparing every metal rake I use to this one lol.
