I am new to working with clay and these, though somewhat expensive, are good quality tools at least to me. I have used the wood roller, to flatten the clay and other tools to remove excess around the area I plan to use, and after using with a mold, the tools help much easier to remove excess. I have purchased in the past from Arteza and many of their products are good, though I have had issues in recent orders where the product does not live up to its claims...this one does. ... show more

I am a beginner clay potter. Great set for hand building clay potters. I've been using almost all tools. I would probably buy single more specialized tools later on, but to start this is a great set.

I haven't done sculpting since high school, which was a long time ago. I have become interested in sculpting again and needed tools once again since mine were lost. I came across these and went with the reviews. They came in packaged well and intact. These are good for beginners, but I recommend not using too much force cause some of the tools might snap, but you don't need too much force when sculpting if done correctly. But like other reviews, some were not put together correctly and probably made on a Monday. lol But if you want to be cautious like me and add a bit of support. You could add some gorilla glue like I did, you will know which tools with need it. Also, the wheel cutter shows the color red and black in the picture but when you get your item, it will be with wood handle and silver finish. I think if you are a beginner, you will like and enjoy this set. I use this set all the time and a couple of home items like a spoon, forks, nails, and other items. ... show more

I purchased these tools and there are so many fantastic options for whatever you're looking to do with the clay. Great value set for beginners. Bought this for use with polymer clay and it’s been fantastic. Still learning how to use them efficiently, but overall has exceeded my expectations. Minor thing that I’ve noticed is that the clay sticks to the wood roller if it’s either rolled very thin or is really warm. I find rolling on paper prevents it from sticking to the wood and is easily removable. ... show more
