I mean, not literally kicked because that would have hurt my foot and been messy what with all the broken bowl bits everywhere. But I did rehome a set of bowls to make room for these and I regret nothing. If you are constantly feeling like pretty much every bowl you own is too small, these are probably the perfect size for you. Pictured here is the bowl holding a 10.75oz can of soup (think standard red & white label) with half a pouch of microwave rice added, plenty of room to spare but not so much that you feel like you used the wrong bowl and now you have to wash a big bowl for no reason. Speaking of the microwave, these did get a bit hot on the outside where the soup was, but the upper edge where the soup wasn't remained cool enough to pick up. And speaking of washing, they came out of the dishwasher looking great. Full disclosure, I washed them in the top rack because that's where I had room, but I have no reason to believe they wouldn't be fine on the bottom. My *only* quibble, and it is a small one, my only quibble is the product description stating these are stackable. Due to the embossed patterns, these don't nest well enough to create a stable stack. They *technically* stack, in the sense that yes, you can put one on top of the other, but it's a wobbly stack. So just keep that in mind when figuring out where you're going to store these. ... show more

These bowls are beautiful. They arrive in a thickly padded box so they withstand delivery with no breakage and are definitely gift-worthy. I chose the option of four different patterns and each one is prettier than the next. They are a very neutral color and the designs are embossed which really enhances the beauty of them. My stoneware is similar in base color so I can easily mix them in since my set doesn’t have soup bowls that are deep. I especially like the high sides on them. They are perfect for a variety of things – soup, salad, cereal, popcorn or a healthy serving of ice cream! They are labeled for dishwasher care and are freezer, oven & microwave safe. I can’t test the microwave or dishwasher [I have neither] but there are other reviews that cover those topics. I don’t have any plans to put them in the freezer or oven but it’s nice to know they can withstand high/low temperatures given they are ceramic and therefore breakable. I can say the bowls are beautiful, comfortable to hold (i.e. not too heavy even with food in them) and wash up beautifully. They are a nice addition to a busy home given their versatility. These ceramic bowls just happen to perfectly match my ivory wedding China dishes which I often use. I was thrilled to find them for a terrific addition for soups. They are well made and as stated the patterns are a wonderful detail. Only two things that I see fault with: they do get hot when heating in the microwave so be careful and they are tad on the heavy side. Beautiful design, and very well made. They're glazed, dishwasher, oven, and microwave safe! They're very generously sized and are nice and thick so they don't get hot on the outside as quickly as a thinner glass bowl. Probably not drop safe, they're some sort of ceramic and they'd almost certainly break or chip, but how many bowls are drop safe, really? There's no writing on the bottom of the bowl, which is a pro or a con depending on how you look at it. ... show more

right away removing from the package you can see their is pride in these which explains the price point . they are more wide mouth then my other bowls and this is FANTASTIC . Great for soup and teens who like big bowls of cereal . they are not too big like a wide mouth soup bowl just better then my other ceramic bowls that will now be donated because I can't have any ugly bowls resting next to these , they are stunning to look at! ... show more

These pretty bowls are advertised as being dishwasher, oven and microwave safe. They have only been exposed to microwave and dishwasher in my household. They came out of the dishwasher very nice and clean. When I microwave leftovers in them, the heat is limited to the level up to where the food is, not the rim. (I fill a bowl 2/3 of the way up). I really like how they look and the size is perfect for a morning bowl of cereal. I use them also for dinner. Perfect for rice dishes and pasta meals. I chose the varied embossing, so each bowl has a different pattern. I like all the patterns. You can also choose for all bowls to match the same pattern. ... show more
