Description

The heaviest weight of the promotional canvas available in the U.S. today. Triple primed with acid free acrylic primer. 100-percent natural cotton canvas pre-stretched over 3/4" x 1-1/2" paulownia stretcher bars. Individual canvas are stapled on the back so that the artist can include the canvas sides in the artwork, thus alleviating the need for an expensive frame. Medium texture and uniform weave readily accepts oils, acrylics and alkyds.

I am by no means a professional painter, but this was just right and at a great price for a DIY home decor project. My painting came out beautiful, and I am buying another package. My only complaint was that the frame was slightly flimsy, but its not like it broke or anything. I just think you would have to be careful with it to not damage a finished project or tear the canvas et c. Also the canvas on the bottom of the pack had small black smudges, which will easily be painted over and also the staples from the back of top canvas had made indentations on the front of the bottom canvas, but since I unpacked it, the marks have stretched out. I would definitely recommend for casual use--like I said I am buying a second pack! ... show more

I have started purchasing my artist canvas from Amazon as I had a bad experience with Michaels Arts And Crafts in St George Utah and decided to go elsewhere and so tried Amazon and found it to be cheaper and more convenient than driving into town to buy canvas and art supplies when with Prime I can get my supplies in two days and save myself the time and gas money as it takes half an hour there and half an hour back! I do not have to put up with nasty sales people who actually lie to your face. Never had this happen with Michaels when I lived in Canada but it is sure different in the states! Buy from Amazon and sign up for Prime! I forgot to mention that as well as arriving in perfect condition the canvas is of good quality for the price. Have ordered quite a few. ... show more

This is a canvas that we used to place a decal on to make the decal more 'artsy'. We used charcoal on the canvas and then places the decal to be more antique. The only problem with this canvas is the packaging. It came in a box that was almost 4xs as big. If you live in a place where they won't have a place to leave such a large package beware! It is SUPER light and took two nails to hang on the wall. I get nervous hanging things up because I'm afraid they will ruin the walls. ... show more

I'm glad I bought it despite only having the one review of 1 star. Mine is great!! It was intact upon arrival, I worked on it for over a month, having to move it and rotate it on the easel several times -- no issues. It now hangs on the wall and is amazing. It is definitely on the student side of things rather than professional, but I'm happy with the results. I hope the product becomes available on Amazon yet again -- this was the best price I ever saw for a canvas this size, including going to an art store. ... show more

I found these canvases to be very thin and cheaply made. The center piece of wood pushes the canvas up from the back and they have a tendency to bow or twist because they are so thin and cheap. Would not recommend.
