    • Absolutely THE Best Water Bottle/Jug I've Owned!
I've had my eye on this bottle for quite some time, it had been sitting in my personal Wishlist forever, and I finally decided to pull the proverbial trigger on Prime Day. I've had a number of jugs/bottles in the past, all of them some variation of plastic, and not a few of them have broken after taking minor fall damage (I have severe arthritis and sometimes things just slip out of my hands.) It arrived the other day, and...oh my! What a piece of work this thing is! The overall construction is BEEFY with a capital MOO! All metal body, with sturdy high impact plastic base, lid, hook and handles. The hook and handles fold conveniently to the side of the body when not in use, and provide two very substantial points of contact for lifting. The lid incorporates one of the best designs I've seen yet. Taking off the lid allows you to quickly refill the jug and is every bit of 5" (12.5cm) at the neck. The waterproof lid keeps things sealed nicely. On the underside of the lid there's a small rubber stopper (do NOT pull this out!) This acts as a self-regulating airflow governor for when you're using the "sippy cup" device, permitting air into the bottle when you're drinking through the straw, and then providing that watertight seal again when you're done. The one thing I would have liked to have seen was for them to throw an extra one or two of these to replace this one should it ever wear out, but that seems unlikely under normal wear and tear. As mentioned, the lid allows two different methods of use; the straw device when you want to get a few sips, or the generous "gulp" spigot for when you need to quench your thirst in a hurry. The included straw is clear plastic and quite wide as straws go, allowing for a good flow of liquid to be sucked up through the straw when in use. The spigot is likewise up to the task, being a screw-down design that can be unscrewed to drink then threaded back on to reseal the bottle. The spigot is about 1" across, give or take, and the spigot lid is on a flip-away hinge that gets it out of your way when drinking without the hazard of losing the lid when you're done. The hook and handles conform to the sides of the body when folded away, but provide very firm grips when extended. The hook, pictured in the product page as being useful for hanging on a chain link fence, can easily support the heft of the bottle and its contents when full. The two handles which meet in the middle when extended to form one large grip may very well be up to the task of lifting it to your mouth to drink, but you'll need forearms the likes of Popeye if you attempt it with a full bottle. They're nice to have as a point of contact for carrying, but are a tad awkward for drinking until you're close to the bottom of the bottle or just happen to be Mr. Universe. The base is solid and matches the overall esthetic, and while it doesn't have any rubberized feet, it's not slippery at all and tends to stay where you put it. I suppose if you wanted to, you could put some after-market rubber buttons on the bottom to make it truly non-skid, but it probably doesn't need it. The body itself is a double-walled steel construction that could probably drive nails (don't try it, I'm only suggesting it's a pretty thick-walled design!) That vacuum between the inner and outer walls helps insulate the bottle, keeping the contents at the desired temperature for quite a while. This is both a blessing and a curse. If you just refill out of the tap without adding ice, it'll keep the water that wonderful tepid temperature tap water usually comes out as. However, if you add ice or chilled water (or both), it'll keep them nice and cold for the better part of 24 hours! As I speak, I refilled mine last evening around this time, and it's still cold now. The "curse" part is that if you just put water (or a liquid of your own choosing) into the bottle and then stick it in the fridge to chill, you're going to be waiting a long, long,... LONG time for that to happen. That same design that keeps the cold on the inside also keeps it on the outside if you throw it in the refrigerator. So just keep that in mind if you're in the habit of pre-chilling your water bottles. I suppose if you filled it and left the lid off, you could very carefully put it in the fridge to chill, just use the same care when pulling it out or you're going to wind up with a minor deluge in your kitchen. Overall, I have nothing but praise for this thing. In fact, I'm already planning on getting a 2nd one to keep in rotation so I always have cold water on hand. This is quite likely the last water jug I'll ever need. Well worth the price tag and then some! ... show more

    • Decent, but not the best.
Does it hold water and keep it cold when needed? Yes. So what does it not do that it should? The lid is total and complete garbage, it doesn't not properly tighten down. A new born child could unscrew the lid off of this. I had to go in under the lid and file it down in the correct spot to have it properly close to the correct tightness so it wouldn't unscrew on its own when it gets toppled over. ... show more

14 Oct 2023 Update The company reached out and replaced the water bottle. The cap on this one seems better and definitely has water. I must have had a bad top on the first one, but customer service came through. Highly recommend!!! Original review: I have been using this for six weeks or so and it works really well. I love the two access points to drink and it keeps drinks cold. The issue is that the top leaks. If it goes beyond vertical when sealed, the screw top leaks. Otherwise 5 stars! ... show more

Old review: This thing is HUGE, but I personally don't care, some people say it looks like a bomb, and I even got a sticker saying "radioactive". I bring it everywhere, gym, work, literally everywhere. My Overall rating for this is 2 stars because it's a mix between love and hate, 2 for love, and 3 for hate. I Love the size, holds so much water, and stays cold all day, but it leaks A LOT. The first month was fine, but second month I started noticing leakage, and now I CANOT carry this in my car if I don't secure its handle somewhere because if it lies on the floor, all water will leake, and because of the number of times that this bottle fell as I am driving, My car stinks like a wet cat, and I don't have cats. and if you don't have the proper equipment to dry your car properly, you will be left with a stinking car. But if you are a cat person and don't care about that smell, go ahead and buy this water gallon. UPDATE: 08.30.23 After my complaint, the company promptly contacted me and was very helpful and friendly. They offered to replace my water jug and sent me a brand-new water jug with zero leakage. I am revising my initial review as I've realized that my initial purchase was simply a defective unit.     • Almost perfect water bottle
My son love this water bottle for football. The water stays cold for hours and the large capacity works great for hot summer days. The only issue is that it leaks terribly. There is no rubber seal that was included with the lid so anytime it is tipped, it leaks around the lid in a steady drip. Not sure if we received a bottle with a piece missing but if we could fix the leaking problem then it would be 5 stars. ... show more
