Absolutely the best solution for the Chevy 6.5 Turbo Diesel starter motor. This engine has a habit of chewing up other bolts. These are superbly made and incredibly hardened. I will buy a spare set just in case one of them falls out, as has happened with the original bolts, but I think it is highly since these fit so well. Bought these to install starter on '94 6.5 l. IDI. Understood to either use these or AC Delco/ Chevrolet only. No issues so far, but be sure and use starter support bracket regardless. The knurling helps keep them from moving with the massive torque requirements of the diesel engine.

    • ARP is a bolt upgrade for anyone who wants something more durable than OE.
Can’t go wrong with ARP. Replacing an engine and adding a new starter. I had these same bolts for 8 years in the prior engine and they worked well. I’m not a fan of re-using bolts, so since I am using a new starter on the new engine it only makes sense to swap out the bolt for a complete job.

Bolts fit 6.2 and 6.5 liter series GM Diesel 88-02. May fit other models. Bolts are high quality would recommend them over the GM units.

My brother Diesel kept walking the factory starter bolts out over time after we put these in no more problems ARP truly uses the best metal stock when machining there products and the thermal expansion and contraction of the factory bolt next to ARP proves it
