I knew I wanted to protect my new phone with something, and this one will definitely do the trick. The pictures and description make it look and sound super bulky, but that it not the case at all. The S21 is the smallest of the lineup and this case does not make it much bigger. With the case on, my phone is about the same length and width as my old Moto Z2 Play with a fairly thin flexible TPU bumper case. This is nice, because I won't feel like I got a phone size downgrade as the physical dimensions of the S21 are a little smaller than the Moto. Installation was a breeze and the directions were clear. The buttons feel great and keep that clicky, tactile feeling from the phone itself. The raised bezels are nice and tall for both the front screen and the back camera lenses. Works very well with a screen film (not sure about a tempered glass shield, I did not get one for my phone) and lens protector. USB port cover is easy to pop off and holds well enough when in place. The one thing I do worry about is the kickstand. I have seen kickstands with this design and use of similar materials fail due to the plastic slot breaking at the end where the stand would be out all the way or the pin sliding in the slots breaking. The case is fairly thick in the back. This does prevent the use of a magnet style car holder mount. The magnets are just not strong enough to hold the phone in place. While I don't think I will be using it as my daily case, it will be a nice option to have when traveling or doing activities that might cause the phone to drop. I have no doubt that this will protect the phone from drops at a reasonable height. Kudos to the company for undercutting brands that charge twice or three times as much for something similar and kudos for donating part of their profits to charity. ... show more

I started using the ArmadilloTek cases when I got my S20. and got cases for my brother and wife for their own S20+ and Note 20. I am used to trading back my phone in order to upgrade so it is really important to me to have the phone intact when I am sending it back to Samsung, these cases do their thing. Believe me after your first scare when you drop your brand new phone you will be at ease when you find out the phone is in perfect shape. this ting is built like a tank. As I am writing this review I have not received my s21, but my s20 is still in its case and I will ship it back to Samsung with it just to make sure they get it in one piece. I will update this review if I have a problem with the case when the phone comes in. ... show more

    • Hands down the best for a hostile work environment
I work in a very hostile work environment. No, not ppl wise, but weather wise. It is hot. It is cold. It is wet. It is dry. It is dusty. So, as you would imagine, I need a case that will protect my investment: my new Samsung S21. My work environment is tough on phones, so I require something beefy, yet versatile, and this case covers all the bases. I had the ArmadilloTek on my last phone (a Sammy S20) and it did not disappoint. When I traded in the S20, it looked like new. So, there you have it. I'm horrible with phones. I have always had an incident where my phone falls and I break the screen of my phone. So I purchased this Armidillo Tek Vanguard case to help remove the possibility of the screen of my phone being damaged. With the bulkingness of the phone case, I thought this case would work. I was wrong. Luckily, I purchased a rhinoshield screen protector with this case. To be extra safe. My phone fell and the corner of the phone which was not protected by the phone case at all. But my Rhinoshield screen protector saved my phone. So to say the least, I am not impressed by Armidillo Tek Vanguard case. ... show more

    • Very good case overall for price. Well worth it.

I bought this for a buddy, he had recently bought a new phone and is not very computer savvy, in short he did not want to buy a case that was going to cost $60. So I worked my magic. Overall he likes the case (has only had it for a week) the only negative at this point is the "upright holder on the back of the phone" (to prop the phone up) had snapped a few times. It didn't "break", just broke away from clamps, and has had to snap it back in several times. I should wait on making a review, but I think for its general purpose for protecting the phone itself will more than do its job. Definitely worth the purchase. I wanted to compare this case to the unicorn beetle pro case. This is a very nice competitor for them money. The main differences being the volume and power buttons stick out more and the sides are a little more square. This case has a little more bulk and with that I'd assume a little more protection. The case fits snugly and doesn't leave room for dirt/dust to get in which is important to avoid micro scratching under the case. It's very durable as I've managed to drop my new phone no less than 5 times on a hard surface and it barely showed damage to even the case. It protects the valuables like the camera really well and the nice thing is even for a large case it isn't clunky or obnoxious. The grippy sides help a lot (ignore my drops they weren't due to a lack of grip). Also, most importantly the customer service is great and very communicative.
