This is SCENTLESS !!!! I love it. Can I give it 6 stars? My everyday deoderant comes is a size just a smidgen too large for carry-on TSA rules. So I've been on the lookout for a solid deoderant. The trouble is that SOOO many are scented and the scent is SOOO strong. Even the minimal scent is too strong. It gives me headaches. I tried it for one day and that was too much. This is SCENTLESS !!!! I love it. And it works for its inteded purpose. What more can I say ... except that it is a very fair price compared to other brands with excessive scent. I'm delighted ... and so are my travel partners. So what did I doo with the other brand scented stuff? I put it in a gopher hole in the garden. I'll either scare the gophers away or I'll have very scented gophers. ... show more

This stuff works. For me it definitely works 24 hours. This is not necessarily a good thing, though: it goes on very heavy (it is white and pasty, not clear). To avoid ruining my clothes I rub an extremely light amount once, with a very light touch. This is enough to keep me dry all day (and without antiperspirant I sweat quite a lot). There's no way I will go through one whole stick of this stuff in my lifetime, let alone six. But you have to be very careful. Don't put on too much: you will find it is difficult to wash off, leaving an odd feeling under your armpits that can be irritating. Also you should be slightly worried about a product that completely stops you from sweating. There are many reasons we sweat: we sweat to cool down, but we also sweat to get rid of some toxins from our bodies. A good antiperspirant, in my opinion, should keep sweating under control, without completely preventing natural body function. This one definitely goes overboard. That being said, the product is called "Ultra Max", and advertises "24 hours of clean". So you know exactly what they're going for when you buy it. Personally the only reason I bought it was because it was unscented. This is a bit strong for me and I won't buy again (in part because there's no way I will ever run out of my six pack, even if I give the other five away), but for those who really need something labelled "Ultra Max", I can assure you this product works. It is also unscented as advertised, which is important for me as I like to wear a little bit of cologne now and again. ... show more

I have more or less used Secret for at least 20 years & have changed to this. I don't exactly sweat a lot, I would venture to say I sweat normally for a semi-athletic person. This said, some deodorants just didn't work for me. Degree? Worthless. Arid Extra Dry would work, but that's sometimes hard to find. Other female-marketed deodorants/anti-perspirants just failed me. So this is how I stuck to Secret for so long. What finally got to me was avoiding white or light colored shirts in the summer or during a work out due to yellow armpit stains. So, I researched this online, along with how best to remove said stains. One of the things I read is that deodorants/anti-perspirants high in aluminum cause this yellow staining. I don't know if this is true or not, but I searched for aluminum free on amazon and this is one of the products that came up. I wasn't keen on spending $20 for 6 sticks, but I figured if it didn't work for me I could donate them to a shelter. The good news is it DOES work, I barely sweat and my shirts are blissfully clear of gross yellow stains. With the Secret brand I used it advertised I could skip a day if I had to, and the few times I had to -- i found this to be true. With this brand it's not quite as true, but it still works very well. If I had to skip a day I would still sweat a little, but no body odor. ... show more

I’ve spent hundreds trying to find a good unscented deodorant that will not irritate my sensitive skin. From Lume, to Certain Dri, and everything in between, natural and regular I had a hard time finding one that worked. Certain Dri brand flared and irritated my skin. Lume worked but only lasted 6 hours and was super expensive at $15 each. Other ones I’ve tried just plain didn’t work too well. Then I came across this arm and hammer brand one. Priced at less than 4 bucks each, I was surprised it didn’t irritate my sensitive skin and worked well for 18 hours for me. Hopefully they don’t change the formula as I finally found a good product that is also reasonably priced. Can’t seem to find a this locally but fortunately Amazon makes it easy to order. ... show more

I'm a big fan of solid antiperspirants. I don't like aersols, and I prefer a very mild or no scent. Nothing "loud". I've been using Mennen Speed Stick for decades. This product is just as good, and best of all, it's about 50% less than Mennen or any of the others.
