I suffer from chronic migraines and my scent of smell is extremely sensitive (my husband says I have bloodhound senses, haha!) and most scents trigger my nausea. The average over-the-counter dryer sheets are loaded with harmful chemicals and strong scents and though they do their job, they are bad for you. These, however, contain essential oils and biodegradable fabric softening agents. When you first open the box, the lavender scent is a tad overwhelming but once you take out a sheet or two for use the scent dies down and by the time you have run your clothes thru the dryer the scent is very light. If you take a whiff of your clothes when removing them from the dryer you can still smell the lavender but it is not overpowering or nauseating, it is light and pleasant. It is so light my husband does not mind having the lavender scent on his dress shirts. I also use dryer balls to reduce lint because they are more gentle on clothes and help them last longer so I toss in one or two of these dryer sheets (depending on what I am drying) and they help make the clothes softer, help with static cling and even wrinkles. I notice when I get ready to iron my husband's dress shirts and pants that the wrinkles are fewer and easier to get out.
