We purchased our house with red carpet in the basement. Disaster right? Well, we had moisture problems, mice, roaches insects and snakes visit here in the forest of Kemp Mill, Md- home of cheapism for many. Anywho, the carpet always smells. Sure, if i Rug Doctor it, the smell goes away for a few weeks but ultimatelty returns with vengange. I decided to use this instead of straight baking soda which could cause mechanical issues with most vacuum cleaners. The Sodium Bicarbonate in this product is more like sand and not powder. When sprinkling it on the red carpet (Berber-type) the grains find their way to the stinkers within. I let the product sit for 30minutes to an hour for problem areas then SLOWLY vacuum the area numerous times. I will update to see how long before the funk comes back. So far im pleased. The next day our basement smelled like a clean HEPA filter scent. The smell at first may be too strong but after the vacuum process and a few hours its a 180 improvment for sure. I even got down to sniff the carpet-- nothing- no more stink! BTW....Please dont ever install carpet in a basement especially RED...Good Grief ... show more

I tried a trial room. Our “formal” dining room, which we don't use much, but the dog likes to look out the front window. I think it helped loosen deep-down dust and dog hair. It was unreal. We vacuumed the same space yesterday. I had to empty the dust bin twice today because it pulled so much up. It was gross to know there was so much, but satisfying to fix it. Yes, it has a strong smell, but I got it to turn around the pet odor we get noseblind to, I wanted strong. This will last a while, but I will repurchase when it is out. ... show more

Very purfumed. Wish it was more soda smelling or baby powdery. The floral is too much. A little goes along way and can clog your vacuum if you aren’t careful.

It is great! It helped me a lot with my allergies. I used to put this on my carpet and use my vacuum after a while and I would sleep very well at night. If you have allergies, you should definitely try it! It has a good price and it leaves the room with a nice smell afterwards.

I hadn’t purchased this in so long. Because one day, I just started putting regular baking soda on the carpets. I was like you know what, let me grab this. Now, Idk if the product has been skimped on or my hand is heavier. Either way, it lasted all but two minutes. Would I purchase again, yup! In bulk! Smells decent. Allergens and bad smells will run away... but so will you. The scent is so powerful, potent and extreme that it is probably more suited to neutralize the stenches related to carcasses, mass graves, dogs diarrhea, entire city sewers and of course the homeless. On my carpets, the fragrance alone has probably obliterated all possible allergens by the way of suffocation. Unfortunately, it also suffocated me. I am unable to get inside my bedroom, and it has been a day and a half. Vacuuming it over and over doesn't help and airing it doesn't either. Did I use too much ? I don't know - the instructions are not exactly clear on how much to use. I used about half the container on a large 1 bedroom apartment. I used a very good HEPA filtered vacuum cleaner to vacuum the product. The scent actually does smell good. Smells like something fresh. The issue I am referring to is the potency of it which has caused me headaches and problems sleeping. How long before the strong smell goes away ? That remains to be seen... so far it has been a day and a half. One thing is clear though... if you have a carcass in your bedroom or closet, this will fix it for sure. ... show more
