  • You can't ask for more, for the money...great boot!
First-off, I'd like to express how funny I think folks on here are, with putting what is clearly a ton of foot-miles/hours on a pair of work-boots, and then trying to scam a set of replacements. Idiots that do that are why the rest of us have to keep paying more and more, but, if you're that petty...I laugh at you, where we ALL should be upset. No-one abuses a set of boots more than myself...I build custom trailers, which means I kick steel, weld and expose my boots to ALL of the inherent abuse typical of a fabrication shop. I also forge custom knives on the weekends...these boots get molten-steel, slag, tend to farm animals, and oh-yeah...are worn regular for off-roading. All this, and the last pair lasted easily 2 years, AND I could have pushed them farther, but they were looking real ratty, so on cosmetics alone, I parked them. This new pair are exactly like the last, save for not being broken-in. I know from experience that once I get a few weeks on them, they will feel more like an extreme high-top, pull-on sneaker, than a work-boot. The only other pair of boots that have felt this great, out of the box, is my Rocky S2V Tac boots. Are they the very best you can buy?...all subjective. But like everything else in life, if it's man-made, there will be examples that are genuinely flawed, and for those folks whose number came up, I apologize for my above criticism. All that said, these boots are worth every penny. I'm not a boot expert but, I'm 60 years old and have worked hard my entire life, and believe me when I tell you, I've had some turd-boots on my feet in those years...some, even made by big/popular brands, that beat my feet up, and didn't last half as long. Add to that I'm diabetic, and my feet are super sensitive to hard-points, pressure and abrasion...these things pass with flying colors. Add to that, I have a size 14 foot, and it's very difficult to get a proper boot in those larger sizes, which leads me to this next comment...definitely consider a size smaller than you normally wear; folks mention that, and it's a fact...at least, with the square toe. I can't attest to the others. I went with the 13 wide and I can easily, comfortably, wear a pair of insulated socks in these. Buy them. I hope they don't change a thing with these boots, as I figure I have about another 15 years of hard labor left in me...that equates to about another 7.5 pair of these, at this rate. About once every 6 months I clean them real well, and re-treat the entire boot. And people, if you're in a high-abuse environment, such as most construction, fab-shops and the like, a couple years out of a pair of boots is MORE than you should expect, no matter how much you spend. I guess if you just wear these to church on Sunday, and they let go at a year, maybe you have something to complain about. ... show more

  • Best quality and comfort for work boots
Size: 12 Color: Brown
I purchased these for my husband. He's worn these same work boots for 5 years, always repurchase, always love them. Stylish, look good, easy to use and pull on, and comfortable. They're not waterproof but I would say water resistant. The fit is on point, and the quality is exceptional. They last a long time, and function well as work boots. ... show more

  • Third time is the charm
Size: 10.5 Wide Color: Brown
I ordered these for my boyfriend and it was the wrong size. I sent them back and ordered the right size. He went to try them on, the soles were dirty and there was hair in the boots. Gross! I sent them back, ordered another pair. Third time was the charm, he got brand new boots! They are stylish and comfortable. ... show more

  • Ariat really IS all that its cracked up to be! amazing quality!!!
Size: 7.5 Wide Color: Brown
I am SO happy with my new ARIAT groundbreaker cowboy boot styled work boot / shoes! i pulled em on, and in about 15 seconds i became a diehard fan of this company. so, i am not actually using these boots for ANY type of work. these are going to be dress up shoes for me. i never wear actual shoes. but i love WORK style boots. there are lots of companys that produce great boots and shoes, you should know that this company is amongst the best for a reason. it's definitely not hype. i was a little surprised at the overal height. for some reason i figured they would be higher. however, i am not an expert on western style boots so.... actually...this is my 1st pair of western styled boots in over 20 years. i am lovin' the idea of no laces to tie up! you should know these boots are NOT steel toe or composite toe. just very comfortable. i usally wear sized 8 shoes / sneakers... i have wider type feet so i lucked out when i saw size 7.5 wides available. fit so well. geeze...i could talk about how great these boots are all day long! ill spare you that however... ARIAT makes super high quality boots and thats really not a secret. i would advise you to look at photos before purchasing, outstanding! im already looking forward to my next pair! these boots are a little bit country...a little bit rock & roll! THANK YOU ARIAT! Ryan from NY ... show more

  • Great 1st boot
Size: 9.5 Color: Brown
These are my first what I would consider real boots. I choose them because of the rating and the cost and the construction. I work a hobby farm and put everything I own to the test. These fit true to size. I typically don't wear socks, but have room to wear a good work sock in them. Either my right foot is slightly bigger or the right boot is cut slightly smaller as its snug getting past the ankle portion of the boot. I did put boot grease on them to help water proof them. It did darken the leather and hide the stitches design on the upper part of the boot. My feet are picky and will let me know if they are uncomfortable. My feet have not complained yet and I have worn them well just over a week. The sole is a bit hard and not aggressive enough to my liking as the ground can be a bit slick at times, but it is tolerable for sure. The first two picks are of one boot greased and the other not. The other after a weeks wear. Updated: 10/2/17 Well after just over a year the sole is separating from the toe box on the left boot. Typically I don't think this to be normal and I have an email into the company to see. However, I am extremely hard on all my stuff, including these boots, so I can not complain. They cost 100 dollars, so if they all last one year, as hard as I use them, I am good with that. They get wet, muddy, sweaty, and beat up all the way around. I did treat them when I purchased them and they have kept my feet dry with two treatments a couple months apart. I just ordered my replacement pair, this time with s square toe. ;) These have been the most comfort of all my footware I own and I am on my feet most the day. ... show more
