These are great looking boots. They fit a little tight on my wife’s feet as they appear a little narrow to be a wide size. Overall she’s happy with the boots and hoping they will break-in to fit better as we go along. Only time will tell.

I recently ordered two pairs of Ariat boots, both in wide. I normally wear 8W, but went up a half-size on the other pair and stuck with the 8W on this pair because some said they ran large. The other pair (8.5W) arrived first and I couldn't even get my foot into the boot!! I was sure the same would be the case with these since its the same maker and a half-size smaller at 8W, but SURPRISE! They fit!!! I like the look of this pair better, too, so I am THRILLED that these fit! I do see why people say they run large because they are loose in the heel. Still a bit snug in the toe-box, but being leather I expect they will loosen up with wear. I may need to wear thicker socks or put in a heel cushion to tighten things up there. So...I watched these boots over a period of two months and one week prior to my birthday I said to myself, "Self? We must have these boots even if I wear them less than 5 times!" They are cute, comfortable and stylish. The item goes great with jean skirts, pants and even tights that are khaki, blue or black and most importantly the perfect jean or faux leather jacket! There is a rodeo coming up in the DMV area in October and I plan to be the most #fly cowgirl even though I have never ridden a horse! Ha! ... show more

The boots were a half size too large and I needed to add an insert. My recommendation would be to order one half size down.
