I totally LOVE these boots. I've worn boots all my life and these are the most comfy I've ever owned. Great for working outside on the homestead as well as going out on the town in a nice pair of jeans. Feels more like wearing a tennis shoe than a pair of boots. I especially love that they don't have a deep lug sole that catches all the mud and is hard to clean off. What mud I do get on the boots is easy to wash off at the water hose before going inside the house. The soles give plenty of traction on slick surfaces. These boots are straight out of the box, all day wear, comfy on your feet. Love that they are waterproof and keep my feet warm with wool socks when it's really cold outside. I have found that cheap shoes seem to run larger and I wear 8.5 but need a 9 in well made, more expensive shoes. I bought a 9 and they are a perfect fit. These boots are amazing and I hope Ariat will make them forever. I was looking for something cute with a western flair but also waterproof, functional, comfortable and convenient to put on/take off for the cold upstate New York winters. A big ask now adays with how cheap everything is. And I find if it’s functional it’s usually not very cute. Well these hit every mark and will definitely be a staple in my life now. These are the most comfortable boots I have ever worn. Comfortable enough to wear while walking long distances and o have terrible feet! I wore them out into a muddy pasture to get a horse the other day, and though I slipped and slid a bit, the boots were never suction cupped off. They are also perfect for riding. I ride English and they fit into the stirrup perfectly. That said, they don’t fit the English riding aesthetic but I knew that when I bought them and don’t really care. I love the pull on/off feature because aside from ease of putting on and taking off, I know if I was to fall, the boot could fall off, limiting my risk of being dragged. They are waterproof which is going to come in handy once the infamous pnw dark wet winter takes full effect.I just love these boots! ... show more

    • Good boots, not as waterproof as I need

I bought these boots because I am the owner of a horse farm and was looking for something that would last longer than the rubber muck-type of boots I’ve had in the past. So, I went for leather and needed them to be waterproof. The reviews said these boots lasted forever so I felt comfortable with the price. I know Ariat to be one of the best horse wear brands available, so again I went for the more expensive boots looking for quality. The boots are certainly comfortable and lightweight, I actually really like them for work boots. They are fairly waterproof but not entirely if you are working with water, like hosing things or walking through wet grass. The boots actually formed to my feet well over time (originally slipping in the heel of my “smaller foot” but eventually fit perfectly in both feet) but I encountered disaster when the boots were damp and then left in the sun and they SHRUNK!! They don’t fit anymore. The toe is super tight in one foot and every time I get them damp it seems to make it worse. I tried keeping them out of the sun and even shoving socks into the toe as they dried to see if it would help and it hasn’t. I tried oiling them and that didn’t help either. So unfortunately after just 6 months I need to stop wearing them and look for another option. Moral of the story: if you’re looking for truly long lasting waterproof boots these aren’t them. ... show more

    • Perfect Boots for Walking Dog and Working in Yard

I have several Ariat boots so I know they are well made and worth the price. I was pleasantly surprised to find these on Amazon. The reviewer who said she uses it for dog walks and ranch work won me over! She was 100% right! I bought a 6.5 because I want to be able to put on socks when the weather gets cold. For now (September) in the Pacific NW, these boots are perfect for dewy mornings without socks (I actually inserted fuzzy insoles so they are "UGG like"). I have high arches so the top of the boots were snug over my foot but I know from experience that leather will stretch over time, so I just need to make it past the break in period. Another different pair of Ariat boots I used for walking, hiking and work around 5 acres lasted over 6 years! I bought the exact same pair to replace them. So, spending $145 on these boots, for me, is money well spent. I use it daily to walk my dog in rainy weather and will use them for major gardening projects around the property. It's also nice that they are super cute! They look great under boot cut jeans and the soles are very slip resistant. Highly recommend for this mature customer who things good shoes are worth the money spent. ... show more

TERRIBLE company! I purchased these as I help with animals outside. I wore them only ten days in Hawaii and they fell apart in front and had terrible odor on inside boot. The company advertises that they can be worn in any elements outside for years. I tried to get refund from manufacturer or have them replace and even sent detailed documentation and they did nothing. A total waste of good money. Will never purchase again. All they had to do was offer to send a new pair of boots to make this right. ... show more
