I love these boots! I did get a half size larger than I normally wear to accommodate thick socks (and arthritis in my feet). What I like: 1. They really are waterproof. 2. They height is good for yard work, farm work, kicking around in the snow, and running to the storm shelter in the rain. 3. True to size. 4. Comfortable 5. Warm 6. I don't wear them every day, but they seem to be well made and durable. I do not feel seams, lumps, or anything poking my feet when I wear them. I feel like they are good quality and will last a long time. What I don't like: I have nothing to add here. I like everything about these boots. Maybe the price could be lower, HA! Love love love these boots. They are the most comfortable shoe that I own, not kidding. In fact, I've worn them to walk around Cedar Point (yes, with my shorts), multiple times, and a Disney park even tho I received 'side glances' as if I was a weirdo - didn't care. I care about comfort and zero blisters. These boots have been thru muddy ditches, farming, hiking, and everyday use, etc and held up very well. I bought them in 2017 and they have been 'well worn & loved' and finally need replacing. It's strange, but it makes me sad, they seem like an old friend. If I could have our local Amish cobbler repair them, I'd do it in a heart beat but the sole is rubber. The only wear is showing at the seam where the leather meets the sole and they now leak (and of course the bottom sole even tho there's still a bit of tread). I'm buying a new pair today in February 2026. I highly recommend these boots for an all around work and everyday boot. They seemed a tad stiff when I first got them, but i put them on, stepped into deep water, then wore them 'til they dried, helping the 'wear in' period move quicker. Well worth the price! First pair and first-day observation. I love the extremely comfortable fit. I wear 8.5 in dress shoes and I ordered a 9 that is perfect with socks. Easy on, easy off. There are no places that rub, nothing that can press against a stirrup or hobble strap to irritate ankles or calves. I can feel the side-to-side stability of the insert. It has designed-in support of the ankles and the insert that can be removed if you would like to put in a custom orthotic. I am really looking forward to riding in them and putting them to the waterproof test. The top of the shaft is extremely large. I am not sure what the reason is for such a wide top. Possibly it is so that nothing binds when you are climbing rough terrain. Even for a lady with muscular calves, they would be very spacious. When I took them out of the box I told my husband that these are the ugg boot style. These boots are no frills but totally make up for it in comfort. The one thing I do anticipate though is if you don't wear bell-bottom jeans (and I don't) over the top of them they will fill up with hay and other debris. We shall see. I have now worn these boots for 10 days of mountain horseback riding. I have bumped into uncountable objects, trees, vines, and other various brush while riding on rugged trails. I was actually stepped on the toe of one of the boots by a horse and I just pushed the horse off with no injury at all. My toes did not feel any pain. I was grateful and amazed. I stepped into a creek to grab a wayward horse, filling my boots up with water. I pulled out the insoles and got the boots dried out completely with a fan overnight. The outside of the boots are scuffed up from the stirrups but in general, they are in good shape and have saved my feet and ankles. I don't know how long these will last but I will be buying another pair when they wear out. ... show more

Love these boots , True to size and i can wiggle my toes and comfy is a understatement. No break in . Will they hold up in my barn work ? Hummm I sure hope so I work on concrete and rubber matts at my job at a show barn 7 hours a day then home to my sandy shavings mixed stalls , I do a ton of walking and already getting hot but so far the boots are incredible . I have a right foot that was crushed by a mustang 20 years ago and when that foot gets hot its almost unbearable with the stabbing pains but with these boots and coolmax socks i may make it through the humid summer in Florida ...Got my fingers crossed ... show more

    • Like them, but kill the V cut

I like Ariat boots and have had good luck with all their products, and that applies to these boots as well. I am warming to them, the more I wear them. They are just a bit heavy in the soles, but I take that as a sign of durability, so no complaints there, though I wouldn't want to have to walk long distances in them. They are a little loose in the heel, but I have a narrow heel and wide toes. This is almost inevitable in a pull on boot, and it is not bad enough to drive me crazy and I really don't notice it much when walking around. I wear an 8B and they fit me well, and are otherwise quite comfortable. They are truly water proof. I had to walk through some bogs and a creek the other day and they kept my feet dry. I mainly got them for pasture/paddock boots, but I also rode in them and they worked okay as riding boots, though I prefer Ariat's endurance lace-up boots for riding. There isn't enough tread on them to interfere with putting my foot in or out of the stirrup, yet the traction is adequate for most terrain, if walking in them, and I actually prefer the lower heel height of these boots to the heel on the Ariat riding boots. I like a pretty flat heeled boot, as elevated heels stress my knees and make downhill treks even steeper. The main thing I really don't like about these boots is the western style V cut in the front. It adds nothing to the looks of the boot and it allows much easier access for grasses, burrs and such to fall down inside my boot when walking in tall grass or brush. I have to empty them of debris afterward, and it can be annoying. The top of the boot is really too wide to fit underneath the hem of most of my pants. Perhaps a boot cut pant would go over the tops of the boots, otherwise, must tuck in. I knew when I got them that I didn't like that feature, but couldn't find a comparable boot without it. They seem to be tough and well made, so I'm hoping that for what they cost, they will hold up well. This is just my first quarter season to use them (summer), so time will tell. All in all, I am pleased with these boots and they should serve me as intended. I would recommend them. ... show more

    • Most Comfortable Boots Ever!

Ariat makes the most comfortable, stylish boots for outside chores and pretty much any other casual occasion you can think of, like walking, riding, and barn dancing just to name a few. After 20+ years of wearing pointed high heel shoes for work, I have really bad bunions. I’m retired now but finding comfortable shoes has always been an issue. When I started riding lessons back in 2009 I bought my first pair of Ariat boots. They were incredibly comfortable so a year later, I bought my second pair, this time just for day-to-day wear. Again, they became the most comfortable pair of footwear I own. That was back in 2009 and I’ve been wearing them almost daily ever since. Did I mention that they’re waterproof? About a week ago I decided it was time for pair #3. Winter’s coming and I need/want a new pair. I decided on these Ariats and couldn’t be happier. As is typical with Ariat, these boots were comfortable from the second I put them on. If you’re considering purchasing these boots, don’t hesitate. You won’t be disappointed. These are awesome boots! They fit great and handle weather well. They are a bit large around the calf’s - so if that isn’t your thing don’t buy them. I got the size I normally wear and it does leave a little bit of room like to wear a thicker pair of socks. I have horses and dogs and this are terrific boots. Worth the money. The Ariat brand has really gone downhill! This is my 2nd pair of this work boot. The first pair, bought 9 years ago, are still going strong but looks rough from barn work, which is the reason I spent the $ on a new pair. They have migrated to cheap leather uppers that will no doubt collapse if I kept them. The medium width is now narrow. I am returning them and will never purchase another Ariat brand boot again. BTW, the all terrain weatherproof work boot also sucks. Same story. My first pair, purchased 9 years ago as well are still holding up. My second pair started falling apart less than a year wearing them. ... show more
